This video will show you some of the small makeovers of the items that I thrift . Every item seems to need something a little different. I'm trying out a new black distressed technique. I like it so I'd like feed back if anyone else does.

Love everything! Like the look of chicken wire on spice rack, new technique, shelf, but the caddy that was hand painted is my favorite. If I have to choose!😌❤️😊

Oh Yvonne... I can’t pick a FAVORITE !! They are beautiful. I think probably the washboards that you simply painted black blows my mind! What a transformation! The strawberry flat box... love that !!! Like I wrote before...ALL ARE MY FAVORITE ! Those big candlesticks.....AND OH MY...THE CANISTER SET ❤️ WOW...just adding the black...sophisticated farmhouse ! I need to start using the black then white and distress ! Also the Waverley Wax! I love how you used it on the white stenciled wording! See.... I can’t pick a favorite...well YOUR WORK is my favorite! How is that ? What a gorgeous day in New York...I actually turned off the A/C and opened windows because the A/C was TOO COLD! Crazy! Jayne, thank you for always supporting me with your great compliments that encourage me to keep going. I do love doing it. I’m working on a plan to video my booth. It’s just hard because they only let you restock when their open. And I really don’t like to discourage people from coming in my booth and shop when I’m taking up so much time restocking. I shop thrift shops and often pass over some of the items you featured. The "vintage finds" box, for example, is now something I will be on the look out for. I also love that you finish the back/bottom of your pieces. I resell and take the time to do that as well. Thanks for a great video.

Love all the pretty things! I had the bath/washboard/towel holder back in the 80s. In the little box that was missing, I had floral arrangement with a pretty "welcome" towel hanging below. I think that container with the double-sided lid might hold toilet paper. I really enjoy your videos.

Canister set is gorgeous! The little candlesticks are so cute.. I found a pair the other day which are originally from Massachusetts! Love the black and brown wax finish.. will try that myself. The metal wall art is fabulous.. I love the little mandalas ! Wish we could get them here. All of the stuff was great! You picked just the right finish for them. My husbands does woodworking as a hobby but I've never thought about using a sander to distress. I always do it by hand, lol. I'll definitely out a sander. Thanks.😊

We do do most of our distressing by hand. Because you can control it better. But some pieces need a little more aggressive sanding we use a power sanding with a low grade of sand paper. I didn’t want you to think that was our normal. Every piece is different. Thank you for watching 💝

I have always liked the stained wood look with black and distressed but those washboard’s... beautiful goodness!! I have one or 2 of the soap ones. Might have to do one in each color. This was quite the make over marathon!

I am a new subscribers and so glad that I found you. We have the same tastes and I have been making over thrifted items for quite some time now for our home and to sell and just needed some new inspiration and you have given it to me. My husband just built me a little she shed so I can sell my furniture and decor from there instead of our home so I now have lots to do to fill up the space to sell. I love all your ideas!

I love how everything turned out! My mamas always said “a can of spray paint will change it!” 😂 or she actually usually says in her little country voice “i would slap some paint on it! Be good as new!” ♥️😂 I did like the basket you kept that wood tone! I have a lot of white distressed things but do love mixing wood tones! That caddy turned out adorable!! Looove the spice rack!!! I always love chicken wire added on things but I’ve never done to a spice rack!! Also loved the washboards and I have like two of those metal signs lying around that have been the same forever! I was thinking the other day they sure needed changing! Love the white and black! Oh and I would hang one of my vintage aprons from the holders!!

Thank you Jen, I absolutely love and appreciate all your very kind and encouraging comments. Oh yes, I love what your mama said. I agree with her. Why buy a new piece when you can “ slap some paint on it” and make it a new item. If you try the chicken wire on the back of a spice rack just remember the shortest staples. It not thick wood 💕thanks for watching 😊

It’s almost impossible to select my favorite. I love the little bitty birds. I love the Waverly stain technique. Turned out great! Thank you! You are so lucky to have a thrift store with wonderful treasures. ❤️🥰

Aww.. thank you Barbara. That’s one of the nicest compliments. I do go to multiple thrift stores near. And I’m embarrassed to say I go daily. 😬but I do sanitize and stay safe. But I definitely feel blessed for what I find💝
