the power on the regular mob farms aren't hooked up and when I tried to, the belt was moving the wrong way

Another way to make a cool farm for every single mob, is to put them in a one block pen. Use a deployer above them to feed them, and with a hopper below you can automatically receive drops from the oldest mob in the pile due to entity cramming.

this is probably way faster becuz more mobs are breeding rather than 2 at the same time but it doesn't look very visually appealing

Honestly mob cramming is probably the best option overall. Especially since fuel is not a concern, although it might be a bit more expensive brass wise if you’re trying to cook stacks of food.

Using the mechanical piston to keep the animals contained was really clever, I wish it worked better. Really nice video, I learned a few new things I didn't know about!

About the wool farm design, you can set shears as the filter for all deployers. Deployers don't drop whatever item is set in their filter, so you can save up on all the brass chutes and filter items.

15:24 an alternative solution is you could just have an observer facing the string pointing to the pulse extender to prevent the babies from walking off the conveyer belt

For sheep you don't actually have to use deployers, vanilla dispensers can shear sheep.

The deployer allows you to have one more grass block around the sheep, technically making the sheep eat faster

Slabs and fences provide the same about of height since the slab is 0.5 block tall and the fence is 1.5 blocks tall (including the fence). I would have tried trapdoors for some of them. I'd like to clarify that the advantage of fences is that they aren't a full block wide.

One small thing you might not know, if you add " true" et the end of your /effect command you won't have all these particles in your face. So "/effect give [duration] [tier] true" will give the tier [tier]+1 effect for [duration] seconds with hideParticles set to true.

What I used for cows is I did what you did with the sheep but I killed them with entity cramming like the vanilla farm that everyone builds. Worked fairly good and since it was so small you could've built more of them if you wanted to very easily.

Loved the video @polartt! Can't wait for the next video man! You should try Building these in your Survival World Series man! Sure, it might be Mid to Late game Stage but at least you'll have plenty of Food and Items to Trade with the Villagers. Speaking of your Survival Series, will there be a Next Episode?

One thing you could consider redoing for all the farms could be to... simply use seats to prevent mobs from moving. Deployers will not interact with seats but rather just the animal sitting on them and you can separate parents by even up to one (maybe even more, but I never checked) block between them. The downside is that by using seats you do guarantee them staying on the seats, but you have to use one seat per parent. Might be more suitable for Horses since you don't want to use too many of them anyway (only best ones).

Yeah, a named a egg to show off in a item frame but ended up not using that clip. But I did accidently use the wolf egg to spawn them in

I love your create video's m8, they really help players out with building and working out stuff with this mod. I'm still playing on Minecraft 1.16.5 and using Create .3 as some of the other mods i like are not being updated. Can i ask is there is anyway using create .3 to auto place stuff on a cutting board (farmer's delight mod) so i don't have to kill my fingers LOL. If there's a machine you made to auto chop food ect could you point me to it OR could you make a short vid on it. Thanks m8 ;)

Hi Polartt, love the build - I used the schematic and did some testing but the baby animals would just run in the opposite direction on the belt (like on a treadmill) and never get pushed into the smoking chamber. ANy tips? Really sad because I wanted to make an automatic chicken farm using Create!

chickens and pigs will fit under half slabs if they are on on belts due to the slightly lower height, so they can be taken away instantly without relying on mob pushing or random movement also due to being just about half a block tall, they can stand on slabs, and grow upwards into lava/smokers a tile above

Great designs! I wish there was one that didn't cook the animal produce though, some mods like Farmer's Delight need extra meat processing before you cook stuff. You'd want to kill them with a deployer holding a knife to get the most drops. One change, by using an observer looking at the string instead of a tripwire hook, you can get the same redstone signal without needing to have gaps in the walls for animals to get stuck on.

In my recent world (Create Astral), I've been relying on entity cramming for my mobs, because some of them yield different drops depending on the tool you use to kill them. Sadly the deployer doesnt seem to work with knifes, so getting the "special" drops that way doesnt seem to work. So it is nice to get some inspiration on how to manage farming them :-) Although just feeding them until they die, is a pretty easy setup, it just works reliably and will drop the normal loot.

You made a video about automating enchanting with the create experience addon couldn't you use the xp dropped from breeding animals with deployers? I would love to see a video adding a way to collect the XP from these farms.

Love how Minecraft automated farms always turn into some ghoulish contraption where the animals get smoked alive or butchered by some other horrible means, it's so deranged for a game that's otherwise generally sort of cutesy

Solution I came to was having parents in seats, that way you can use air currents to move the children while they stay in place. That way the pen size doesn’t matter.

The mechanical piston trick maybe did not work because you used glass, which is a transparent block, with weird properties in itself. Also, horses, mules, donkeys and llamas drop leather

Great video. So i tried this because i am trying to create a chicken farm but it seems that the fan camp fire method does not work in 1.19.2 it is either not enough speed or too much speed and all the chickens die baby and adult.

In my world I made a big chicken farm that can kill chickens by suffocating and their drops are split up respectively but I also made the feathers along with other byproducts like flint and sticks from my iron/gold generator and tree farm to have them be crafted into arrows so I now have infinite arrows

/effect command has ability to hide particles. just add "true" after setting time and power

Maybe you could use observer + string instead of tripwire hooks. String changes its data when a mob is inside it and observers can detect that

If ya used commands you coulda done /summon Horse when you were making your horse cage to make them spawn in the cage and not fly out thanks to clipping Also you coulda done /kill @e[type=minecraft:rabbit] as opposed to hunting them down with strength 255 also 15:10 is a great soundbyte

unless they changed how horse breeding works I think the baby just gets the average stats of both parents, which makes horse breeding entirely useless since the babies will never have stats even *as good as* the better parent. they might have updated it but I'm pretty sure that's at least how it used to work

okay I looked it up, apparently the game averages the parents' stats with a 3rd randomly determined value generated as if it was a wild horse. so it could get great stats from the random roll but it'd only get those stats if it spawned wild, otherwise they'll be brought down by averaging them with the parents, so bred horses will never be as good as wild horses *can* be, with luck

The speed can be set to any integer from 1 to 256. the speed controller cant have a negative speed

I don't know if you check these comments, but I'm having an issue with the cow/sheep version of the farm. I'm on Create 0.5 and 1.19.2. The issue is that cows and sheep don't take damage from the fire once they grow up. If I spawn a cow or sheep in the empty kill chamber it dies as it's supposed to, but once a baby drops in they all become immune to the fire.

Have the same problem. My fix is: moving the location of the encased fan from the top block, to the second highest from the chute (baby cows are safe, but the moment they grow up - they get cooked). This way you don't even need to configue the rpm speed for the encased fan

This does not work that well. -7 is too low for cows and -8 is too high. Plus the cows are not pushed around and half of them says in their place until they grow
