Some notes. The back train car is also 90k. The front and back car can be loaded anywhere with a conveyor or an auger wagon, but the middle car with the lid on it only opens at stations. There's also no way to get goods out of the train except the stations. The lumber cars are the exact length of the semi log trailer but they have headache racks on both ends so no over length logs will fit. For some reason the devs decided not to let you carry and sell wood chips with the train, only things that you can put in the silos will be allowed.

IMO 2 trains with 2 tracks are just headache. You can sell goods only on the west track. If you load smthg on eastern, you have to re-load again to the other train. They should add only 1 train with one track what connects all places....

You forgot a very important fact! You can load your train next to a field by using conveyor belts! Very usefull to park the train and immediately load it in the train

I think the developers put the train in there for a realistic purpose. There are players that like to play this game to the most realistic affect. There may not be a real purpose in speed of using the train, but it is a fun concept for living in a farmed community that uses trains to ship bulk. Remember there is a diverse population of people that play this game differently so saying the train is worthless than you are not thinking of everyone who plays this game.

Now I know what to do with beets before I watched this video I always put them on the ground and used a shovel to pick them up and put them in a tipper

At 10:25 there's a little silo in the upper right center, next to the mill building, with a loading/unloading zone in front of it. What's that for?

Ok like I said in the beginning to Arthur on youtube, I think they just implemented the train system for the mod community. So I was bored tonight and looked in the xml files if it was possible to change the set up of the train. (the train line that goes to the saw mill has 1 wagon and the other has 2, that should be the other way around) Ok so to change the wagons of the train go to your Farming.Simulator 17\data\maps folder and there is a map01_trainSystem01.xml and map01_trainSystem02.xml file in the bottom you find this and this is where you can change the train wagons This was posted bu Guido Stein, Mexico. You can with this method, remove, add or just change the order of trainwagons in the game :-)

I think there should be a way to lower the barriers of the lumber carrying cars, like it's possible with the trailer, but I don't know how to do it

You're making good videos Moose but, it isn't lumber until its made into boards. Either logs or timber at this stage.

Did you realize that if you have fields beside train tracks you can unload the combines and harvesters into the train cars with ease

The trains are very lazily planned by Giants, They are so inconvenient sometimes , yes there fun but I wish they would re do it , or someone will make a map more involved

I don't see a real purpose for the trains other than unloading at the maple mill

They should fire whomever designed the train crane controls.... could the person not incorporate some buttons into this. Everything with the mouse sucks. Won't be logging again, just because of that.

I sat through ten minutes just to find out that train lumber shipping is of no financial benefit at all and completely redundant. Great. This is why I hate the fact that most Q&A type things for games tend to be in video format these days, it's hard to find textual answers. "Q: Is using the train worthwhile financially with all the fucking around? A: No." is so much easier than a quarter of an hour of bumblefuckery and beet loading.

You might want to stop recording if you are making weird sticky sounds with your mouth and go get a drink of water. It was really hard to get through this.
