This Ford FW60 automatic was filmed as part of my DVD "Articulated farming"

The FW60 with the four round lamps in the front is the real beauty but that beast is also fine.

Lived in one while going to college 1982 to 1986. Daylight till dark. I loved that tractor, the disk I pulled weighed 18000 lbs. and the harrow was 30 feet wide. I loved the 8 track stereo in it. The thing had enough lights on it to easily work in the night. I remember having to grease the thing every day which was as good 45 minute job, the disk took another 30 minutes. It even took awhile to fill the fuel tank too. I remember one time being in a hurry and taking off with the parking brake on. The thing had so much power I could not tell. It was a serious job I had to do replacing the brake disk on it. I would be right behind the combine and loved watching hawks and egrets catching mice and bugs.

16years ago, I was driving an FW30 re-engined with a Cat V8 lump, my favourite tractor ever, great to see these FWs at work still, keep them coming

There is still one working in a village where I used to live. I've driven one a couple times. Lovely engine 👌 lovely tractor

Thanks for posting ! It brings back good memories. I put 500+ hours on a FW60 Auto during the early 80s. Nice tractor, plenty of power, just needed more ballast for lower speed draught work.

Last comment it was bought new in 1981 and cost just over $100,000. The owner at the time was the largest McDonalds franchise owner in the country.

Probably would have sold better here in the states if they would have come with the 855 instead of the 903.

Forgot to add mine had a 903 ci cummings and manual trans.

That is what is in this, a 903. Most had manual trans, an auto is pretty rare.

335 hp if it has the Cummins V8, as this one has. But Steiger, the actual builder of these tractors also sold this model under their own name called a; Panther 325 with a Caterpillar 14litre straight 6 at 325 hp. The drawbar hp of these is somewhat less though, at around 260hp.
