Δεν είναι αυθαίρετο αν είναι παλιό κτίσμα που έγινε πριν τη θέσπιση του νόμου για τον αιγιαλό. Τα νησιά είναι γεμάτα με παλιά κτίσματα πάνω στον αιγιαλό που είναι απολύτως νόμιμα.

Α μπράβο! Και λέω μόνο εγώ το διαπιστώνω αυτό; Στο Σχοινιά τα σπίτια τα έκτισαν στην παραλία και δεν κουνιέται φύλλο χρόνια τώρα με τα λαδώματα. Είμαστε άξιοι της μοίρας μας!

A beautiful place - but do they have a home salt-water-converter built in - otherwise the whole place looks so dry I would be scared to buy any land there ! The water supply would be crucial to living there.....deep well possible ?

Rainwater is collected for most uses like washing and for the toilets for example, Bottled water is for drinking only.

They have fresh water supply from the main water supply of the island and back up system aswell

So it was a bridge before it seems. And what is that tracked brick up the hill?? With caves I'm guessing it was some type of storage & industrial spot.

Serifos was a mining center for nearly a century. The tracks were for carts that would take the ore straight to the ships.

@Joanna M Μαλλιαδικο την ακουω τοσα χρονια και δεν εχω παει ποτε!καλο αμπελι θυμαμαι μεχρι πριν 3 χρονια ηταν οτι πιο μαγικο υπαρχει!δυστυχως κανα δυο χρονια τωρα εχει μαζεψει πολυ φυκι ισως απο την πολυκοσμια η τα σκαφη που πλησιαζουν πολυ και δημιουργηθηκε αυτη η φυκιαδουρα απο το πουθενα!και γενικα σακουλες πλαστικες φαγητα μεσα στη θαλασσα!πολυ κριμα!τουλαχιστον ειναι ακομα ενα σχετικα παρθενο νησι ασχετα αν εχει πολυ κοσμο ιουλιο -αυγουστο με πανεμορφες παραλιες και τελεια χωρα!πηγαινω 30 χρονια απο 5 χρονων φαντασου!καλα να περασετε και εσεις λοιπον και ευχαριστω για το info !

What a lovely idea all white and sheltered garden but the terrain quite ugly too stony not a tree or bush in sight hard and depressing for me to to live there and all that uphill walking..Love where I am even more now surrounded by verdent foliage and great view of distant rolling hills and mountains.Fast train to the capital half an hour. Heard so much romatic stuff about Greece nope not even that blue blue water would do it for me.To each his own.;-0!

Some people absolutely love that dry, rugged terrain. I much prefer it to greenery which, to my mind, looks “messy”. I live in Germany where there is tons of greenery and I long for the dry rocky landscape of the Cyclades. Hehe... yes, to each their own.

In Greece, people build their houses wherever they want, without permission! How did they build this? That's why my country will always have problems!

From what I was told. It used to be part of the mining company, it was a full bridge that was used to load ships. This house was owned by the head or Chief of the mining process.

Very difficult to have trees in these dry islands. If you like green islands you must go to Thassos, Skiathos or Corfu. But the beauty of the Cyclades is unique!..
