Saw the Nexon EV on road yesterday during a trial run by Tata Motors. Honestly speaking this car looks fantastic and futuristic at the same time. Tata has nailed it this time and I am assuming this would become car of the month/year in near future.

There's a difference Faisal.. Verna's connecting DRL didn't fit well with the overall design of the car which added weirdness to an already weird face. In Nexon its neatly integrated and looks nice.

personal opinion: Companies should offer sunroof only as an optional feature instead of making it standard. Sunroof is the least useful feature but significantly increases price of a vehicle. In a country like ours where we need to use AC 8-9months out of 12months every year, sunroof makes no sense. Also, the dust that enters vehicle when you open sunroof is another challenge. In place of sunroof we can have many features that will be used daily & can increase safety features too.

18:48 and 19:15 You were already in sports mode so when you shifted into reverse system didn’t provided you sports in reverse it switched to default which is city mode and when you were back on drive mode it again announced to get back in Sports mode, it is actually intelligent and not disappointing !!

Avinya and Sierra EV will launch in that price range. Avinya should easily offer a range of 600-650 km ARAI since it will be based on born electric platform.

@@cuckoonut1208 All depends on our use.People who drives more on city doesnt need to worry about finding chargers.I currently use the first gen nexon ev(2020) and have currently driven 59K kms and havent faced any problems regarding charging as i use it more on city and use slow charger at home.I have also done a long trip from Hyderabad to Madurai using the low range model(220-250 real world range).Just need to plan our trips using plugshare

27.17 Regn-3 or 2 or 1 will work once u speed they don’t bring the car to halt when ur at lower speed means 15-20 km/h once the speed is more u select gen 3 then it brings the car to halt that’s the norm in Evs Later part of the ev it’s evident when u had single pedal driving

Great car.Great interior. The front looks absolutely stunning. If tata made this, imagine what Harrier Ev would be. It would be the end of ZS Ev. But the backside is ugly af. Also the car is not wide enough for 4 people at the back...sad. If the on road price is less than 23L. Im gona buy one of these. My current car gives like 7kmpl in peak traffic.

I’m requesting Tata Motors to bring plug-in Hybrid .. I’m using Rav4 plug-in Hybrid first 100 km is charge I can switch the button from ev to gas it’s totally depend on me .. past 6 month I spent 50 dollars only for gas and 2 dollars for electricity to change I drive my office every day 70 km so its the best car in the world .. I’m requesting Tata to bring plug-in hybrid

I don't know about features but one thing they need to offer is 600km ARAI range under 30 lakhs. That will be greatest challenge for TATA motors. They should also aim for a global launch with Harrier EV.

Even top youtubers making mistakes on the features which shows people still don’t know so much about EVs. The charger in the dicky is a 3.3 kwh charger. 7.2 kwh charger needs to be installed at home. And Nexon ev can be charged at a maximum of 30kwh. You need to really drive an ev longterm to understand it. 😁

You are right, it can be charged at 50 kW but will only draw 30 kW!

I agree about the space at the rear seats. I’m 5’10 and the thigh support is absolutely bad. Even the foot room beneath the front seats is so tight. Like I had to move around my legs to sit. You can’t sit straight comfortably. I understand that with the battery and restriction on ground clearance, you have to make adjustments but it could have been increased in length size to accommodate that. Kind of double minded because of this one issue. Can’t compromise on comfort after paying 16 lacs

the Split screen which you were referring to is not a Nexon EV specific feature but Android Auto which your phone probably wirelessly connected to without you knowing.

Not a tata fan but the tubelight placement on verna looks like it is a blind car or something without eyes but the light placement on the nexon is looking 10 times smarter hence yes a tubelight on the verna crap design!!
