The restaurant we asked to photograph this time is Usamitei Matsubaya in Shinsaibashi, Osaka.
It is a long-established restaurant known for its unique udon, which is a nabeyaki udon with rice toppings.
During the war, when foodstuffs were scarce, the owner said, "If I cut the rice and noodles in half, I can eat a full meal! This is the famous udon that many people still order today. It is a well-known udon store loved by the locals, and businessmen who work in the neighborhood also stop by here on a whim. Recently, it is also popular among foreigners.

職場が近く、こちらのお店に行くようになって15年が経ちました。いつも、「かちんうどん(揚げたお餅入り)」と「親子丼」を頂いております。むちむちとした大阪うどんを食べたい方は、是非ともこちらのおうどんを召し上がって欲しいです。おじやうどんも、具だくさんでボリューミー！有りそうで無かった、最初からお出汁とご飯とおうどんが一体となっている一品、美味しいに決まってます💕

椎茸が美味しそう。というか全部美味しそう。店主が味見する時にふぅふぅするのがたまらなく好き。ずっと続いて欲しいです。個人的にはあんかけうどん、たまらない。鶏卵を食べたいです。

That was fantastic. Everything about this cool. The old guy, the star of the show, but this is obviously a family affair. This proves you don't need anything but heart, soul and hard work to excel. There wasn't anything that didn't look delicious and some of it I couldn't identify. Well, done.
