Fasco Basement Exhaust Fan at my Grandparents’ Old House

2 ай бұрынSupposedly, these fans were used to vent cigarette smoke out of basements since many did not have good exhaust systems. That would make sense considering the time period these were likely installed in homes; lots of people smoked indoors, and if you were having a party with lots of people smoking, it would definitely be handy to have one of these going to keep the air breathable!

My house is from 1946 and it has one of those in each bathroom. I believe if you have a basement and those are in there it’s for exhausting a damp or wet basement.
