I've always felt our greatest role models are locked inside of most of our older generation who unfortunately has been shut up by our new world order. Weve been robbed of the greatest wisdoms. God bless Iris. She's awesome exciting fun and true to truth and herself. She's Just Great!!

That's what happened to my husband and I... 'We came expecting to see a fashion film and instead we saw a love story'. It was beautiful, inspiring, creative and glorious. My husbands sister and mother are both called Iris, and so it was also meaningful for us on several levels. I am so very grateful we went. Highly recommended.

One of life's beautiful people. Could listen to her talk for hours, such an open mind. She looks terrific in that outfit, especially the specs! x

Oh, my! She speaks of coming to market in Dallas twice a year. My folks had 3 showrooms at Dallas WTC, and before then at the Home Furnishing Mart. Those were the hardest but most fun times of the year for them. Dad's showrooms were there for 40+ years, so I feel certain he and Ms. Apfel must have met at some time or another.

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO FINALLY SAID NOBODY WANTS TO WORKS BUT THEY HAVE THEIR HAND OUT FOR THE MONEY. YES, I HAVE FOUND PRADA PIECEES AND GUCCI PIECES THAT WERE POORLY MADE. I JUST WALKED AWAY AND SHOOK MY HEAD. TO FIND A TAILOR NOWADAYS IS A CHORE IN ITSELF.

I seriously adore this women. What she expresses. What she wears. I like that she has captured these younger minds in a positive direction. And she is spot on about fabrics and clothing. And its way over priced. There is no depth anymore with fashion in today's world.

We sure can use role models in their 90s. I love her lack of pretense, honesty & humor. She doesn't shy about telling you what she thinks whether it's politically correct or not.

Oh you young people! Listen and learn. It's all about quality and knowhow. You don't get that on the net. Go out there and FEEL THE FABRIC.😊

She's cool. This is cool. But you say "fashion icon" and I say "has the balls to wear a ridiculous eight-pound plastic chain around her neck and look like a post-apocalypse Professor McGonagall." Of course, this is in no way a bad thing.

I think the same.. poorly made clothes, bad material... Touching, feeling and even smelling wool and raw silk or other natural fibers is wonderful.

She speaks from the 1920, depression era. Thank the Lord my mother was from that time , instilled those values in me. Otherwise, I would have simply been ANOTHER 60's spin off. A dull, drug induced sexualized feminist. Dodged that bullet. Thank you mom and thank you Lord Jesus .

I find it just awful that the group asking Iris questions laugh at the worst times when Iris is trying to get across a point & the morons just laugh stupidly because they are so out of it!!!!! Then Iris reacts w her opinion that the audience does not understand at all!!!!!!
