As always, great video. Anyone else catch the first CHP car had a driver's side mirror light, but not the passenger side? One got broken and swapped out with another they had laying around is my guess- just don't know which.

Standard issue CHP specific siren developed by Whelen used on their Rockwell-Collins system. Being slowly replaced by the new Whelen CenCom with the boring Sapphire tones :(

@@Critical911 you can’t. All their units get decommissioned in Sacramento and all their equipment is removed and used on new units being introduced into the Fleet.

@@Critical911 the biggest problem isn’t so much that old equipment gets reused (typically it doesn’t), it’s that the Rockwell system has the lights and sirens built into their CAD computer as an entire integrated system. Because of the confidentiality of their systems and what’s on the computers, those will never be released to the public. New issue cars are all getting the new Whelen CenCom.

@@dougm.635 incorrect, it’s Ford’s N/A 3.7L V6 outputting 304HP to all 4 wheels, which is standard issue with all of CHP’s FPIU’s

Why are they driving so fast? Trying to cause another accident? I could see if the ambulance and fire trucks were hauling ass, but all the cop is going to do when he gets there is direct traffic and write a report.

Uhh, that's not true. If they arrive first they will provide basic life support until paramedics can arrive.
