Damien, I mean this as a high complement. Your gentle, kind, and enthusiastic demeanor (and chops!) make you, to me, the Bob Ross of YT guitar instructors. Brother, I’d listen to you explain anything and enjoy it. Thank you. Good for you. May your comments received always be positive and grateful. You deserve that. ✌️

I distinctly hear Brian Setzer at the 2:08 mark. He uses that scale progression starting on the third and second frets often. It is effective for sure.

Yes, he does a very similar run off in many of his songs, possibly most recognizable in the Stray Cats song "Rumble in Brighton". Thanks for watching. :)

Love what you do, Damian!!!Great lick and great words to live by at the end. I really appreciate the way you show us how to directly apply the material youré teaching us. It reminds me of that saying, "give a man a fish...teach a man to fish" etc. You´re setting people up for success. God bless you.

Ace lesson Damian! I really appreciated the fact that you showed how to apply the lick over the one chord in a couple different spots of the chord progression in the key of E but then also showed its application to the 5 chord in A (also got a great chuckle from “other Damian” AKA the “oh wow that sounds cool” guy! Beyond that, shared appreciation for the Sonic Youth shirt, love that band!

Hi Damian First of all - great lessons :-) Question - is Rockabilly different than a 50's R&R or 12 bar blues - in your Chord progression you never do 1 beats of the 5 chord and 1 beats of the 4 chords at beat 9 and 10 - josef from Switzerland
