► About this video :
This video demonstrates the reality check of FASTag service as implemented by Government of India.
► What is a FASTag?
FASTag is an electronic toll collection system in India, operated by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). It employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for making toll payments directly from the prepaid or savings account linked to it. It is affixed on the windscreen of the vehicle and enables to drive through toll plazas without stopping for transactions. The tag can be purchased from official Tag issuers or participating Banks and if it is linked to a prepaid account, then recharging or top-up can be as per requirement. As per NHAI, FASTag has unlimited validity. 5 to 7.5% cashback offers were also provided to promote the use of FASTag. Dedicated Lanes at some Toll plazas have been built for FASTag.
In January 2019, state-run oil marketing companies IOC, BPCL and HPCL have signed MoUs enabling the use of FASTag to make purchases at petrol pumps.

If you need to stop... During this so why we need fast tag.. use traditional method..... In foreign countries RFID scanner will scan your chip at any speed....

The problem is unstable network that connects the toll node to central server. That's it. Until we have 5G based or dedicated wireline based network for Fastag this problem is going to stay here.

Before implementation of compulsory fastag, all equipment should be tested properly to ensure 100% operation of equipment. In last toll on this is just one example,,driver had to reverse for entering other lane... Then all vechilce behind him to reverse if they park so closely which normally happens in all toll

@@lokesh_pathak248 anything without proper implementation gonna bring suffer to common people... Just exactly before u r reply.. I came through fastag express(nocash) lane.. I was at 10 th car.. it took more than 10 minutes to reach post. When I tried to cross... They stopped and said ur car is blacklisted...wtf..I said.. I have money in account. I paid thru..fastag in morning in same toll.. I explained all these things to that guy...I was waiting for 2 minutes there...then one ran to other lane to bring handheld scanner. Then I crossed...oppps...hell man... Not Modi has to change...people in the toll and machine has to change..

There is no requirement of toll plaza .....no maintenance is done properly......for the amount they collect....frst remove all the toll plaza or get it back to govt from private so that u can reduce the toll rate.....

Sir, this concept is introduced from Eastern Peripheral Expressway. At the time of entry at Toll Gate - You will receive the slip of entry At the time of exit at Toll Gate - Show the slip and the toll will be deducted from Entry gate to exit gate only. Aap usko apni slip dikha dena entry ki. Vo utna he katega jitna cash m katna hai.

Ruk k kaam karta hai gaadi rokna he padega tabhi gate khulega. Fark bas itna sa hai ki jeb se paisa nikal k nahi dena padlta na he return mein rs5 ka bahut sa coin milega.
