Another installment to the vertical crab farming series. Here I attempt to explain how I grew my good bacteria in less than a month.

what do you add to let the good bacteria start growing before we add crab in the system since the system still has less amonia?

Thanks for the question Master! I actually started with placing 1 crab in each system. Then I practiced ghost-feeding, slowly increasing the bio-load about 3X a week until I was ghost-feeding the entire 25-box system. I used bottled bacteria to speed-up the nitrogen cycle, increased the thermostat on my heater, and prayed to the Nitro-Bacteria gods for progress :). I added additional filter systems along the way as well until I found the correct balance that works for me. Rock On Master!!!

I'm in QC and my water source is the tap with chlorine. What equipment or process do you do to attain the ideal salinity?

Salamat sa tanong Master! I-post ko po yan sa next videos ko. Although, yung price may differ (since I started by using different methods, filters, and media combinations as an experimental process). Cguro, ilagay ko na lang yung mga ginamit kong equipment, additives, and methods, then sabay nating hanapin sa internet yung lowest price alternatives. Rock On Master!!!

sir ano ho pang disinfect nyo bago nyo ilagay ang crab? potassium permanganate po ba? saan po kaya makabili nito?

Potassium Monopersulfate po Master (Vimekon manufactured by Vemedin Corporation). Wag lang po masyadong maraming crabs ang introduce ninyo sa system pag gumamit kayo nito kasi may chance na mabawasan yung nitrobacta ninyo pag masyadong marami. Saan po location ninyo Master?
