Hi Nicarena I'm so glad I subscribe to your channel I will be incorporating this routine starting tomorrow I get my hair cornrowed on the 27th of July so next Saturday and I will wear them for 3 months and you are so right I just took my 1 month cornrows down last week and retain over 2 inches in ONE month with no breakage so I'm definitely going to do 3 months but using this routine. Okra gel is my go to conditionner since January 2022 l cook a big batch, mix in a few drops of essential lavender oil for fragrance, and keep it in an application bottle in the freezer. Thaw it the eve of wash day.

@@SurprisedCamping-uo4cg l rinse it off after 10-15 minutes. Don't wash it all away, if you so choose. Then moisturize your crown as usual.

Yes you got it. I rinse my scalp with the okra gel weekly, I use it as a "tea rinse" and I rinse it off and moisturize my hair. but I do the full washing process every 2 weeks. Stay blessed 🙌🏽

Thank you for the video. When you use okra as a tea rinse, do you apply it on dry hair and then rinse. How long do you leave it in the hair before rinsing it out.

You're welcome dear. I get my hair wet with warm water an then I apply the okra gel, I keep it for about 30 to 45 minutes and I rinse it off with cold water .

I used the coconut oil as a pre-poo, and then I wash and deep condition my hair. And I used the okra gel last, and rinse it off with water.

Thank you so much dear, for your comment 😊 I so appreciate it. It's very encouraging. Ambunu doesn't have the same properties as okra, but if you don't have okra, you can also use Ambunu. It's also a great option.

Yes, you can use any oil of your choice. If you have low porosity hair, you can't use coconut oil as your everyday oil, but you can use it rarely, and as a prepoo, it will not cause dryness and breakage

If your hair is short and the cornrows can't stay braided for a very long time, you can try to refresh the cornrows every 3 weeks.

Flaxseed is also a great natural ingredient, but it doesn't have the same properties as okra, I can't really promise that you will have the same result. But if you can't find okra , use Flaxseed, which will also be a great care.
