some racing drivers prefer heel and toe to rev match the gearbox while downshifting. It sounds very cool. But to do heel and toe you need perfect matched gas and break pedals. In the end you are not faster it just sounds a lot better :P

You are definitely faster 100% of the time when balancing the chassis properly when driving it at the limit. Heel toe helps balance the car under braking and downshifting. So I would say you are wrong.

@@turboe367 I'm not sure if it's sped up, but they definitely made it look way faster than it really is when they edited the video. Every time the car is accelerating, they zoom in on a portion of the image. The zooming isn't from the camera work. Zooming in on part of the image in editing as the car accelerates makes it look like it's picking up speed quicker than it really is. Also it seems like they dropped some frames on purpose to achieve a similar effect. That doesn't happen in post processing when you upload to youtube. That's from uploading a bad or misleading video. I've been racing E36s and E46s for 15 years and neither are going to turn in like that at those speeds, let alone accelerate like that on a naturally aspirated motor. A built euro S50 and a stripped out E36 is nowhere near this quick.
