Hey I have a question what happens if surgical staple is kept for too long like a year my mom has recently gone through a surgery for breast cancer and it's been a year but doctor didn't remove 3 surgical staples by fault is this can cause any complications ??? We are now helpless please kindly answer my question it's urgent

As it’s been this long, it will be surrounded by fibrous tissue.This isn’t an emergency but it is necessary to remove as it can help in harbouring an infection in future.At this point ,a minor procedure need to be done to remove it from the soft tissue. So , please do it asap . I hope she is doing well otherwise. Take care

@@madhanvishal7908 we consulted the surgeon who was involved with the surgery he said it is very normal for surgical staples to be kept inside in surgery idk what should I do now
