Fastest HX40 powered Evo! Dyno & Racing

This Evo runs a Holset HX40 turbo and has begun the holder of the quickest and fastest times for an Evo running the holset turbo. Check it out as it hits the dyno & competes in the Haltech Street Quick 32 class.

Car ran a 9.7 with this same driver? Seems like he was having issues launching

Yes with the same driver, I know the guy personally. I'm not sure what issues he was having that day, but I've seen the car run faster.

CincySR Looks like his LC was set to low, that track is preped super well. That is why it was bogging rather then spinning.

That Guy There It was having transmission issues. The car is now on a 6766 and is trapping consistent 149~ almost 150. We cant up the boost anymore since we need to swap the 4 bar map sensor.

Not necessarily, it also depends on type of setup.. Doesn't have to be expensive either as for example, an HX40 only costs a couple hundred bucks anywhere you look.. Keep that in mind too :)

these launches look so... not right. imo he shifts into second gear to early. bet he could get at least .7 seconds out of that with lower boost in 1. gear and pulling it out with 40mph instead of ... like 3 xD
