Fastest way to find diamonds for me is find the level lava pools spawn and dig straight forward one direction, mine 3 blocks left or right and mine back the way you came, repeating that system. You should have two blocks between each hallway you mine. Doing this is also great for all other ores. Just make sure your mined paths always come to the point or room you mined your stairway to the surface

There were many mistakes that would actually be a disadvantage in this video, such as trapdoor strip mining and night vision. Trapdoor strip mining makes you miss quite a lot of diamonds above your head and regular strip mining is way better. You don't need night vision to perfectly see underwater, all you need is to press F5 or whatever button to go third person depending on what you play and go into third-person mode, then position your camera in a certain way and you will see everything underwater. Don't mine straight down, either, as well... that's just not very smart. Branch mining can get you much more ores but if you are set on diamonds, use subtitles to tell when monsters or lava is nearby (sorry Bedrock players). Hope this helped!

the safer way to dig straight down: just mine a block right next to you and just mine straight down while also mining the block beside you but for this to work you need to stand in the middle of the two blocks then just mine so if something pops up on one side you can avoid it by standing on the other block you havent mined yet.

if Mining Tips & Tricks 1. dig straight down until you hit Y = 11 and dig straight 2. Bring a unbreaking iron pickaxe or diamond pickaxe, or if you on't have an enchantment table bring a few pickaxes 3. You can get Night Vision & Maybe Fire Resistance Potion so you can see whilst mining or you can bring few stacks of torches If you do this you might get diamonds in 8 Minutes

FACT, if you want to get diamonds fast-quickly in Minecraft, Note that 1-2 diamonds have a 10.4% chance of spawning in any chest on the map, diamonds are even more common to find in a chest in the nether at 17.62% chance, Also note that diamonds have a higher chance to spawn in chests if the chest is in a natural stronghold like a temple or village. Remember if it's 10.4% chance per chest, then I'd recommend going to desert temples because in every version of Minecraft, they always contain at least 4 chest and so that's a 41.6% chance to find diamonds from as little as 1-2 diamonds and as high as 7-10 diamonds. Remember the nether in general has a 17.62% chance to spawn 1-2 diamonds in each chest, and the fortress on average there are 3-5 chest that spawn in the nether fortress, so at 17.62X3=52.86% and 17.62X5=88.1% So either way at least half the time you will get at least 1-2 diamonds in the fortress. And 8/10 times you'll get at least 1-2 diamonds convert 86.1 into a fraction: Multiply both the numerator and denominator by 10 for each digit after the decimal point: As a side note the whole number-integral part is: 86 The decimal part is: .1 = 1/10

A little tip to improve the method: Activate subtitles (Settings>Music & Sounds> Subtitles). The subtitles show little arrows that point to whatever direction the sound is coming from. When stripmining on height 12, use the 'Water flows', 'Lava pops' and other cave sounds to locate a cave more easily!
