I had a block that was stopping me from being able to fast I wanted to fast to get closer to Jesus but I had a addiction to Marijuana and I tried and tried to quit on my own strength but couldn't then God showed me about deliverance and spirit of addiction and I did self deliverance on myself casting out spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus and he set me free in that moment!!!! now all I want to do is spend time with God and can now fast properly Thank you Lord

I drank black coffee and have stopped during fasts before but with crushing headaches. This time I woke up and the coffee smelled gross and was upsetting my stomach so I stopped just like that and no headaches , no fatigue. This was a powerful massage about fasting. It has encouraged me.

Not sure that passage in Matthew (Jesus asking Peter 3x if he loves Him, and commissioning him to feed His sheep) is normally linked to fasting, but rather to Jesus restoring Peter after he denied Him 3x before the cock crowed (before the crucifixion). Otherwise anytime anyone gives anything up for Jesus could be called fasting, which is a bit of a loose/wide interpretation. Fasting food is the primary biblical form of fasting. Anything else is not so much fasting, but more like 1 Corinthians 6 v 12 "anything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial, and I will not be enslaved by anything" ie get rid of anything that slows you down or distracts you. I love Kathryn's teaching and ministry though, and pray for God to continue leading her and anointing her!

I believe that potion of scripture is talking about When a married couple is fasting they abstain from intimacy during the fasting period. Than after the fast they continue their regular relationship of intimacy.

The right way to fast, not the religious way 1. The purpose to omit something from my life for the sake of being free, something that I’m doing that is taking more power than it should over my life. It could be good things for eg eating, Not just eating isn’t fasting. There are other good things that we could be doing than could get in the way of God having our all, God being #1 Tv is not a bad thin When it becomes such a habit where you it again and again and again P.s no self control I really want to watch more of this. But I feel like it’s my flesh leading and not my spirit Doing things because I feel like I have to. Like checking s.m There’s a hold on my life that God wants to set me completely free. Do something that when I have free time, if my mind keeps going in a negative place, I should read. The word of Hod study it speak it, do other productive things.
