Glass is a old school trainer. His tips are straight and simple: Train your muscles hard, eat right and understand your body so you know how to properly take care of it. He don’t even mention supplements, pills, fat burners, diets, teas or none of that bullshit. Just hard work and commitment

I disagree. You should have your own approach to training, cardio and nutrition. His approach is sound but there are countless others who are equally as good as him or even better. Take what makes sense to you from a variety of sources and experiment.

@@varnadorel almost all old school bodybuilders have the same advice as him, their times were simple amd they had the best bodies even though modern builders are bigger, but old schools are simple you probably can have and afford to do everything they say, while new modern builders they might have their hands on stuff you don't or you cant take... Etc, so me personally i take from old school builders and very little from moderns because most use fancy stuff i might not be able to put my hands on

@@ricklee5387 sounds like you should sweat your ass off in a boxing ring for your cardio. then go for an (insert) km run. then go cycling for five times as much km. next day completely off. next day grandfather's routine or whatever you wanna do. repeat. and don't forget to eat. :) /halfserious

Hi Charles. When you mention 'blood work', which specific tests are yoh referring to? Medical tests would normally refer to Cholesterol, blood sugar levels, liver and blood hemoglobin. Are you referring to these or something different? Thank you for the great channel 👏🏽

Yes, he is old school, and whatever worked for him in the past still works today. There is no exercise that is bad for you unless you are doing it wrong and using too much weight. He still advocates 'high risk exercises' but no one got injured by doing them.

Bless Charles. He seems like such a gentle soul. If I was a wealthy guy and lived in Cali, I’d pay him to train me. I grew up following him in all of the muscle magazines in the 1990s and he was always known as the trainer to the champions.

I remember Charles Glass from way back, when he competed. Always shredded, symmetrical, no weak body parts. His videos are so helpful, as he always stresses proper form along with the correct mindset, above just lifting weights up and down. It is good to see such a nice, genuine, positive person become such a success in his chosen field, as he truly deserves ALL the good things life has to offer. I keep telling people to eat according to their Blood Type. It has everything to do with how your body digests food, strength of stomach acids, stores fat, metabolic rate, etc. It works.

@LosergeezerTV do a weight that feels challenging between 8-12 reps if you do more than 15 reps and it doesn't feel challenging the weight is too light

Body recomposition (losing fat while gaining muscle) is definitely possible because I’m doing it. I’ve lost 50+ lbs in 7 months while increasing all my lifts. It just requires a super dialed in diet and not overtraining since recovery is impaired by being in a caloric deficit.

Makes a lot of sense! Everyone thinks of carbs as the enemy! It’s not! Carbs is an essential macronutrient. It actually helps before my workout. I wouldn’t be able to get through it without it to be honest.

@@TheRay1227 you can ask yourself this question: Is carbs nutrients or energy ? Carbs is sugar and sugar with fiber depending of which source. If you stopped eating this sort of fuel your body could still get the fuel it needs from fat and protein, look up gluconeogenesis. So no, carbs isnt a nutrient, but fat and protein are, stop eating either of those and you will set yourself up for trouble very quickly. The same is not true for carbohydrates.

As a former pro athlete, then one who turned as a pro trainer, I can say that Charles Glass is very Knowledgeable and I just hate that so many just want to steal his knowledge to make millions.......Charles, if you haven't already, get an agent, please ensure you do, so they can make sure everyone that what your time and/or info, has to pay for it.... Mr. Glass, you can makes millions doing presentations and workshops if you chose to do it...Also, those that seek your time have to pay for it just like those that seek Chris Aceto time has to pay big bucks... Also, please identify someone that's humble and passionate about the sport and pass on your knowledge to them to they can continue your work for generation to co.....God bless you.

I'm O positive 197lb,. I switch to 70% vegetables I gained weight 25lb . workout four days a week 2 of the day cardio exercise, calisthenics w' bands.

I'm a Type 2 diabetic and carbs, especially from grains, fruit and starches, are absolute killers. They spike my blood glucose levels too high. The only way for me to lower my blood glucose levels is with Keto or carnivore.

Bob Birdsong was like that. When we go visit him and his wife we would go out and he would order fish plain with lemon, salad and broccoli. No fancy stuff.

Hello Mr.Charles , could you possibly ,make a video on how to start gaining muscle with loose fat/skin body (espcially around my belly and chest) , i cant identify whether i have loose fat or loose skin. Im planning to gain muscle next year or so, the correct way as possible. Thank you.
