QUESTION: please I want to know, if a born again Christian backslide and return to God by confessing He or her! Promise not to go back to it but he or she didn't tell the pastor or any leaders in the church will God forgive the person?

@@jacobunyime5045 I believe God will still forgive the person, but the person has to do restitution where necessary and ask forgiveness from those necessary. It is also good to tell the Under-shepherd(Pastor). the Bible says confess your sins to one another, Plus the Pastor can also give wise counsel, pray with the person and do follow-up. Note that when you expose a sin, it loses its power but when you hide it, it will thrive. Whosoever cover his sin will not prosper...
