In this city that he has made into the pride of Kaan, the Ilkral has eyes and ears at every corner. He is a beloved ruler, but there is an ambition in him that will not rest until all of Kaan has bent the knee. I fear he will burn our homeland to ash and scatter it on the winds if it stands in his way.
Fateforge: Chronicles of Kaan is a mythical action-adventure cooperative campaign full of surprising twists with a sprawling story and intense fights played in episodes of under an hour.
The game offers an accessible, RPG-like board game experience for 1 to 4 players. Meaningful narrative choices and action-packed combat scenes are the heart of the game. You will take on the role of a hero and backflip, double-slash and charge your way to victory! The app-driven story lets you navigate your way through a city full of intrigue and your choices will ultimately determine the fate of the empire.

5.0 - My absolutely favorite games. You can pry them out of my cold dead hands.
4.5 - Love this game! At the same time missing something that would make it a 5. Could be hard to table, lacking variability, a little light, etc.
4.0 - Really great game, almost always keeping, although has meaningful complaints as to what takes away from the experience.
3.5 - Really enjoyed, don't love it, may lose out to better games but the idea of never playing again is a bit sad.
3.0 - A good game, would play and suggest with the right people, if I never played it again wouldn't lose any sleep.
2.5 - A game I'd play again , but will never suggest it myself
2.0 - A game I don't want to play again
1.5 - A game I can't find any reason to recommend
1.0 - A game that is just bad.

Please note in regards to difficulty, the combat scenes in the prototype were balanced for not communicating during player turns to mimic the sense of real-time combat. We abandoned that early on due to personal preference, and then additionally the second half of my experience when I dove back in, I dove back in solo managing 3 characters. The game's difficulty in the prototype stage is not yet balanced around some of the decisions and is still undergoing this type of fine tuning.

I play this at UKGE and it was soooo much fun. fast action like a kung-fu movie and a lot to think about together to complete objectives. maybe we played a different version but only the tutorial dungeon was easy. the other was a good challenge and really fun with skeletons chasing you in mass.

By the games on the shelves in the background I can tell this was filmed well before the campaign launched. As for the save system it looks to have tuck boxes for everything. Enemies will be tokens and not minis. From what I am seeing so far, the main issue people have is with the difficulty. Seems fairly simple, so hopefully there is some progress made on that. Probably a back for me, thanks as always for the great content!

Hi Ben, that is correct! The game will have tuck boxes for every hero along with marked baggies inside them for a quick save system.

Pretty expensive for a game without minis and I think a shorter campaign, really really basic combat system, enemy scripts and dice system, easy difficulty, app game, fairly long story parts not woven into the actual gameplay.. Hard skip. Art ist beautiful, though, and storage seems really cool, too!

App game. Must be online to use the app. and if app no longer supported, the game is no longer playable. Easy pass for me.

please this comments are no sense... the app no longer supported... how long will take? 5 years? 7 years? for that time you already played the game and move on... how many game are you playing that are 7 or 10 years old? one? two? This type of game you play it and then sell... like gloomhaven jaws of the lion so the new owner just need to take a reset pack and play easy

@@patriziopastore9895 ok. let me type slower. It's an app. driven game. You must be online to use it. Where I game, when not at home, doesn't have wifi and my tablet requires wifi. So, I can't play it unless I'm at home. I don't sell off my games, so when the app is no longer supported, it's worthless to me. It's an easy pass for me.

@@BbBb-zx6sx Ok is an easy pass for you not for other people that maybe they have wifi and mobile data on the phone... happy that you can save money and invest in something that applea to you more. In any case I most probably pass this one because there are too many games in this period and... hard choice needs to be made

@@BbBb-zx6sx I'm usually do the same tethering from the mobile if there is no wifi.... Much better to use the tablet for example for journey of the middle earth
