yes, i do believe they plan on having a "full open talking" mode as well :)

hmm, well i've only watched kimberly's kinfire video... haven't played it myself, but for me, this one is much more meaty in terms of game mechanics. kinfire feels more like a great way to introduce RPG fans to boardgaming, or folks who like boardgames to get a bit closer to RPG. this is a proper dungeon crawl with a strong narrative, but you're still here mostly for the deep action, while kinfire is more about world building i'd say. so taking all that into account, i'd go for fateforge in a big way, and tbh kimberly would probably go for kinfire (because she loves DM'ing rpg sessions with her students) :)

every round of combat you have to hit a button on the app a few times (depending on player count) to see what the surprise move from the enemies are :)

they're certainly not for everybody :)

@@rahdo yeah, sadly... my first experience with those gsmes was mansioms of.madness, the phone discharged and turned off right in the second to last round :/ like an hour and a half of gameplay that ended just like that... since then I try to avoid these games. And it's sad because with an app there's so much that can be done, especially in narrative gsmes like this one...
