I like them as a duet for all the reasons mentioned: talent, happiness they share to sing together. When Savannah sang an excellent solo recently, I was like "oh no" solely because I like them so much together. So here's the deal (in other words, my rules...ha ha); either can sing a solo but then an encore must be a duet.

Savanna, you should be so grateful to have a father. Not just a father, but one whom loves you so much. When he looks at you, the love just flows from his face. It’s crazy how when they sing and look at each other, you can see pure joy, love, and pride in their eyes. You look at their faces and you can see how proud they are of each other. It is so beautiful to see the love in their eyes. As well as them having amazing voices.

How can anyone "thumbs down" a father-daughter duo??? Even if they were horrible singers, which they're clearly not. They don't deserve a single thumbs down. Anyone who gives a thumbs down has their own issues in life. I want to thank Mat and Savanna for singing together and sharing it with the world. I've enjoyed your duets. Good to know I am not the only one who thought that. My next thought was watch out Disney here they come! I am with you, does Mom sing? Do they just sing at church, for fun, or do either do anything in the music industry? Just curious. I love to hear how well they sing together and look so happy doing it. I just spent several days with my teenage niece and I am not near as happy as he looks singing with his daughter. I have decided next visit to change the Wi-Fi password 😜

I know this an old post for you all, but I just came across it. You could see the pride in dad's eyes even closed when his daughter was singing. Then when Dad opened his mouth to sing I was like "Ok dad". Beautiful. One of my favorite songs. You both did fantastic.

This is so touching and beautiful! I lost my daughter over a year ago. When she was little this was one of her favorite songs. Such wonderful memories this brought back for me. Thanks for sharing!

Ken I’m so sorry for your loss. This is a favorite in our family too and our little girl used to sing it all the time. She’s all grown up now and the world has become a scary place so I sent it to her to bring back some childhood memories. I’m glad this song brought you back to those wonderful times.

I don’t know if I love listening to him more, or watching him! He seems to feel every note in the songs, and it’s beyond enjoyable!! I love him and his voice!!! Most girls have mezzo voices, real sopranos are not that common. But I do agree that Sav lower voice is angelical, unique and beautiful.

I agree with you about how great her voice is but at chamber choir callbacks at my local high school there were, I think, about twice as many altos as there were sopranos. I'm personally a mezzo-soprano, but many of us were encouraged to try for the soprano parts to increase our chances of making it.

@Christina Cameron thank you! I said I agreed with the positive things said about her voice, I was just saying that having a lower singing voice isn't uncommon (BTW this isn't meant to be negative either. I LOVE her voice so if people could not act as if I was insulting it that would be great)

He got married young. I think his wife was still a teenager. I guess his dreams of singing on stage went out the window. My God I get chills when they sing. When this pandemic is over I would love to see them in a Broadway show our a movie. We need more uplifting feel good movies or Broadway shows! Their voices are beyond amazing so utterly beautiful!

Dad's voice brings me to tears, his voice could perform a beautiful "Andrea Chenier"!!!!!. Both so talented! Both with the kind of voice that you don't just hear, but FEEL!
