"We work and pray together. People appreciate that. They need someone to be with them constantly, to remember their loved ones," shares Father Makariy Dutka, the abbot of the Sviato-Uspenska Univska Lavra monastery. From the first days of the war, their monastery began to host refugees from various parts of Ukraine. "God takes care of everyone, takes care of us, takes care of the displaced, takes care of Ukraine," Father Makariy firmly asserts and believes.
In the episode of the 'Small Stories of the Great War' project, Father Makariy talks about tireless mutual aid, the power of collective prayer, and human stories that restore faith in victory.
