This was recorded 4 years ago. Comparing it to Amazing Grace , Sound of Silence, and I’ll Make a Man out of You just shows how much he has improved his voice and performance. He likes to keep the old covers up so we can see how he changes.

This is an older cover before he hit his stride. But still excellent. He experimented with a lot of styles and genres until he found his sweet spot.

U r not wrong. This was several years ago. It shows his progression when compared to the latest stuff. He gets better all the time. Quite a feat when u already slay it. Thanks for checking him out.

This one is older than Amazing Grace, and he's grown as an artist since he did this one. The more I hear Bon Jovi, though, the more I realize that they aren't as good as I thought they were when I was a teen in the 80s. I really prefer Dan when he does DragonForce, Manowar, Avantasia, etc., covers or his own songs with Fearless. That being said, I still love this by him.

I think this is pretty hard song to sing but there may be something wrong also with the sound here 🤔 Compared to his other Bon Jovi covers, "Always" and "It's my life", it sounds different..😊

Dan's earlier stuff is more like the original songs. In his later stuff they seem more "his" and are better.

To be honest I prefer the original Bon Jovi version but it is rarely that I prefer a cover to the original. I will need to to watch your reaction to some of his other covers. 🐿️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Just wait until Gary from Nerdrotic has to sing a Bon Jovi song after he loses the bet between Dan and him in their race to 1M subs. Gary is a great guy, but the man can't really sing, and he can't stand Bon Jovi. Of course, if a miracle happens, Dan will have to sing the original song written by Gary, "Man Buns Are Gay(And So Am I). I love both channels, so I'm pulling for a tie or a flatout Dan victory because I found his channel first.

U miss 1 point - he is 1000% better than the original - JBJ has 0 to offer anymore. This was a ”patrion” request meny years ago - not ok to compare to AG.

It was fine. Probably better than rock singers on "X-Factor", "Britain's Got Talent", (AGT), "The Voice" etc. (though I very, very rarely watch them). It was a bit 2½D; it lacked some 'depth', 'grit' or 'guts'. His voice seemed a bit 'thin', lacking 'body', even when he was 'screaming'. AFAIK, that can be the fault of the microphone, recording, mixing, production, compression, ... headphones, my ears. To quote David Mitchell (in a Big Fat Quiz of the Year), "It was OK, but I'm not sad it's finished". Something is going to fall below 10 out of 10. Best Wishes. ☮

Wow! We really didn't listen to the same song, did we? I liked the original; I love Dan's version. Actually, I love both versions - the first one done when he was just a raw kid, starting out, and the one done years later. If you really want to hear what he can do, check out Amazing Grace, Dawn of Victory(with Fabio Lione), Dawn Over A New World, Bring Me To Life, or any of his songs that have hit one million or more views or any other song on his channel. The man is truly the best I've ever heard and can do anything!

And it might be his accent that makes it sound 'off' to you. Dan is from Juiz De Fora, Brazil, and English isn't his first language; Brazilian português is. He learned English mostly by playing video games. Personally, I think the accent gives the song more class and elevates it above the mainstream it came from.

@@josiahrobinson6135 Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to reply. His voice has very good 'attack' into a phrase, but seemed to go 'thin' in the last couple of syllables of a phrase. To be fair, not every phrase. As I wrote, it might be my end of the 'audio chain' and not him. I'll listen along with Squirrel, so there'll be further videos to change my mind.
