They make insane music. Tim Henson (the lead guitarist) has crazy playthroughs on his YT channel that don’t have cuts so you can watch his fingers the whole time. He’s a damn machine

Tim Henson (the little guy) writes their songs on keyboards first, then translates the music to guitar. It really takes away some of the usual ruts guitar players fall into. Basically the opposite of playing in a pentatonic box. They end up using some very unorthodox techniques and approaches to the guitar. They got pretty popular with their song GOAT which serves as a good introduction to their style. Playing God OMV is amazing. The band's playthrough of Chimera is better than the studio version of the song. Plenty of great songs to hear from them. Very tasteful and accessible music, played by four very capable musicians.

Their new album is awesome. However, don't sleep on their previous two albums because they are equally amazing. Po-liff-ee-ya, lol, is now my favorite band. Love them.

Yeah, it's a rabbit hole for sure. Playing God and G.O.A.T are must watch for sure. But really, every song of theirs is pretty amazing

It's funny, but I don't remember how I found them. A KZfaq recommendation? A friend? A review by a reaction channel I watch regularly? Probably the last one I DO remember MY reaction: IT BLEW MY MIND. Not sure if it was Ego Death, though if it was a reaction channel the name Steve Vai would have immediately captured my attention, it may have been Playing God (which you MUST SEE), but I've never seen, or heard, anything like it. Anywho, "Playing God," you won't regret it!

Nice reaction. It's pronounced Puh LIFF ee yuh. Definitely watch Playing God next, then Chimera guitar playthrough, and Aviator. ABC sucks, they're pandering to pop loving children with that one. Almost everything else they do is also just wonderful. It's a delightful rabbit hole to explore.
