There's no such thing as an accident when a firearm is involved. This is my very first comment ever, but as a father of a 1 1/2 year old daughter this hits different. As a grown-ass man I’m sitting here at work, tears in my eyes for about a hour and still can‘t get over this. His face said it all. He would give his life to bring her back. The pain that father has to go through knowing he lost his little angel by HIS OWN fault cannot be described. There is nothing that can ever compensate his pain. Now I need to go home early, buy my daughter a present and treasure every moment with her (Like I always do). Take care everyone

I understand how everyone's heart hurts for this dad and his family. It's such a tragic loss, but are we going to ignore the fact that he was never supposed to have possession of guns due to priors? In addition, he decided to go against those orders and didn't keep the gun in a safe location away from where a kid could get a hold of it; furthermore, there wasn't a trigger lock. I'm not saying people don't make mistakes and this was clearly an accident. That baby did not deserve to die and this man does not deserve to lose a child...but there is a reason he should not have had a gun in the first place. I feel bad for the young life that was lost and the heartache he will forever feel knowing this could have been prevented.

Like 90% of the time dudes have guns for protection of course he wasn't supposed to have it and to avoid that he should've never got it or safely put it out of sight and reach of other like the top of the closet or the dressers with locks so he still needs some punishment and if he were to have another weapon afterward he would serve a min.
