We need part 3, about Megan's wedding, Matty's baby and the Banks parents dealing with retirement and specifically, mortality. This needs to happen, as long as everyone from the cast is still available and able to do their part, including writers and composer Alan Silvestri.

To hear the theme music come on and to see all these faces that I practically grew up with just warmed my heart!! Thank you Banks family for doing it all over again!! I had no idea this existed until an hour ago! I just watched it and I'm smiling ear to ear with some tears in my eyes. Wonderful, heartwarming short. The cast still manages to bring it with new additions. Rachel (and her actress) is beautiful, my gosh! It was a lovely short and Nancy did a great job with writing and directing. Thank you so much for this!

I forgot how much I missed Steve Martin in these types of roles. Martin Short fell back naturally into Franck as well. With the inclusion of Robert De Niro, I almost got a Meet the Parents vibe. The whole thing was very sweet and the new cast fit perfectly in the mold. Alan Silvestri's theme remains a treasure. Thanks for this, Netflix.

As someone who’s dad is basically George Banks haha and who grew up watching Father of the Bride 1 and 2 this just warms my heart!!!!!

I can't believe how much I needed this. Such nostalgia, it felt like Christmas. I'm not sure any decade will ever beat the 90s! What a great way for a great cast to come together for such a great cause. 🎉

I didn't realise how much I needed this. Father of the Bride Part 3 needs to happen ASAP. It'll be the party to celebrate the joyous occasion and Meghan is going to have her own baby.. There's the plot Netflix and I'll take only 20% of the profits.

I got married in May of 1991 and my dad was just like George . I remember watching the movie a few weeks before I got married and cried my eyes out . In 1995 I found myself pregnant and I remember going to the movies to see it a few weeks before the baby was born . Watching this made me cry as we are move to the next phase in my life . Love the movie !

This was absolutely brilliantly done, it was so nice to see the cast again, the spirit of the original 2 movies is so much still there this part 3 has only confirmed it. Please make this into a full part 3 film we have all been waiting so long for this. This mini episode has only reinforced what the fan want. Please commission this into a film.

My wife actually cried when George spoke about how kids grow up and the moments are treasures. She was clutching our 1 year old sobbing....I could have sworn someone was cutting onions at the moment my eyes had some droplets watching them. By far one of the greatest 90s movies!

30 minutes, and they still managed to catch us up, introduce new characters, and not, make them paper thin. George is the same, Annie is clearly more her mother's daughter calling George on his silliness., Megan is a bit of an 'overachiever , eager daddy's little girl. not annoyingly so Florence Pough's American accent is spot on! Overall, I forgot about the chaos around me for 30 minutes. It's very well done. I hope it does get flushed out to feature length..

I can't believe I never heard of this and just happen to come upon it when not being able to fall asleep tonight! It's wonderful! It's touching and funny, made me LOL and cry. I really hope that once they're able to, they actually make a Father of the Bride part 3, make this the very beginning of the movie and then go from there. I think whether it's released in theaters or Netflix, it would be a fantastic hit!

Just came across this now. Oh my God, you just made me cry. Literally. This film was one of our bonding movies (my brother and I). We watched both 1 and 2 when it came out here in the Philippines in the 90s. It was even one of the inspirations in my brother's first wedding. Sadly, my brother passed in 2013. This video coming across my account seemed like a sign that he is watching over me as I miss him every day since he passed. 10 years since, I still grieve. This was something to remember him by. So thank you for this. Thank you very much.

I just found this in 2024, and my heart is so warm watching this. For a moment I thought to myself this didn’t feel like the movies without George’s commentary and then when it finally came I started crying. Though I don’t care for Covid dated shows or movies I loved this!

OMFG I did not know this was a thing until legit an hour ago and I didn't know it was a thing I needed, I was always hoping for a 3rd part for these films (they are among my absolute favorites) and here I am having all the feels and the new additions just perfection! Come on Netflix do us the favor and give us a full length movie!!!

I grew up watching Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride Part 2. They were both some of my absolute favorite movies. I always dreamed of having a wedding and a house like the ones in the movie. My husband and I were supposed to get married on 6/13/2020. In the end, that obviously didn't happen. But, like Matty, I decided that after 9 years together and in the middle of some of the scariest times we'd faced, I didn't want to wait any longer. We got married via Zoom in our living room while my parents watched outside the doorway so that we could be safe. We ate cake on our deck and had dinner delivered to our small studio apartment (a fraction of the size of the Banks' home). I've always felt a little sad when I've thought about not having the wedding (although next year we will be having a small vow renewal celebration). But watching this, two years late, I started to cry. Thank you so much for this beautiful short. To know that, in a strange twist of fate, I actually did get married Father of the Bride style brought me so much joy. Thank you for reminding me that it is the people and the love shared between them that makes the Banks family worth aspiring to, not simply where or how you celebrate it.

I cried. I used to rent the first and second movies on VHS every few weeks as a kid.. And then bought the dvds when I was older. Will always be some of my favourite movies ever. Wish there could be a proper 3rd feature film!! I would go see it 5 times.

a full-length movie that ties in with this is very doable. i propose that the story would be is that once the quarantine ends and everything somewhat goes back to normal, they plan/do an actual ceremonial wedding. the sub-story would be that Robert De Niro plays his role as the "Father of the Bride" but George becomes somewhat jealous and clashing ensues between them.

I got married last year and one of the most special moments of my wedding day was when I entered the church with my dad and the quartet started playing Annie’s theme. Priceless moment, priceless movie.
