I would have thought they’d put him on an oxygen mask asap. Dry drownings are a thing, surely you’d want to increase his oxygen intake for the journey to the hospital? Surely there’s security cameras at fire stations? Isn’t a threat of death against a city employee an automatic charge?

There are usually two paramedics in an ambulance. That's just how things are for majority if not all over the world. You wld have to request multiple ambulances to get more pple. Which won't make sense with just one patient. But then again the two paramedics are meant to have stabilised the patient enough to travel a short distance by the time they put him in an ambulance. Don't knw if the young man wld have survived even at the hospital though. Think its unlikely.

Let this guy keep saving lives, as killing him won’t achieve anything; except a lifelong prison sentence for you & one less person rescuing people in need (who’d probably get a better send-off than you, if his blood were indeed on your hands). Like what? Because in shows they can't have everything 100% accurate like CPR because that can hurt the actor for no reason. Also, all the actors went through professional firefighter/paramedic training so it's as close to realism you are going to get, that goes for ChicagoPD and ChicagoMed as well.

I have the same question about Firehouse 51’s entrance. On episodes like this, it looks like the streets in front of the firehouse. On others, it looks like it’s in some rural area. 🤷🏻♀️
