Two things to think about that also helped you not win. You thought your opponent was weaker than you when you started the game. That was a strategic weakness on your part and made you play unfocused. A person does not get to that point in a tournament without having strengths to get there. You underestimated your opponent. Because of the underestimation you played slower in the beginning which assisted in causing you the time issue. You lost because of a mental lapse in strategy. You are very good, however, you must never overestimate yourself. It is a consistent tragic flaw for most who lose in situations that require strategy. Study history & you can see it time & time again.

Thanks Anna! I think from the positions you reached you should have won this tournament. However it's true that playing faster could raise your chances even more! And one more thing: Don't think too much about winning just play the positions! When I played our traditional Blitz tournament (around the 6th of December) I always wanted to win it! When I finally won this tournament once (and the only time) i thought that I'd finish second if I drew the last game (which I did). But it turned out that it was sufficient for winning the tournament! What a pleasant surprise! It would have been even harder had I known that a draw would have secured me the victory in this tournament! That's highly psychological - the pressure under that you'll put yourself! Failure will be programmed in most of those cases!

@@aspartameindustry I would like to respectfully disagree. I personally am not mad. It was a mild disappointment at most. Also, click-baiting is not the business of KZfaqrs categorically. I feel, and I can't imagine I'm alone, that click-baiting is the business of less reputable KZfaqrs, which Anna is most certainly NOT. If I saw her channel as ordinary or sub-par, I would roll my eyes and move on. But it's exactly because I see her as being better than that, that I am mildly disappointed. Click-baiting is lying, plain and simple. KZfaqrs lie when they don't have good enough content to stand on its on. Anna has excellent content that can easily stand on its own. She doesn't have to stoop to those lower levels. But again, this is hardly the end of the world.

Anna, you quite enjoyable to watch. I’m not a chess player and try to keep up with the game. It’s just nice to see a young woman with class , brains and cheerful attitude/personality, it makes the world a better place!

Thanks again, very nice following the tournament and hear the analysis of your own thoughts. Get a second public signature to use, as many advised you already. 😊

I've watched a few of these and now I'm hooked. I really enjoy everything about this. She is very talented, very fun to watch and fun to listen to. I really enjoy her manner of speech and how she shows her moves with potential options. No matter how fast she goes I can pause and back it up and think..... Thanks for posting these. I'm in!!!
