My father raised me and my brother after my mother died when I was 1. Lost him 13 yrs ago. He was the best father I could have ever asked for and this movie will no doubt crush me. So glad to see single dad's getting the love they deserve.

I'm not the biggest Kevin Hart fan, I'm picky about comedy's in general, but oh my god. This movie looks so heartwarming and amazing. I really appreciate that there's finally going to be a good movie about single fatherhood and also the struggles that fathers go through as parents. Like the scene in the beginning about "new moms" when the sign says "new parents" hit hard and deep. I don't feel like men get to be practical fathers in the every day and this just highlights the struggles they have finding support. My dad was my primary parent during the winter while my mom worked and even though he wasn't single, the language and attitude about fathers being parents haven't changed in well over thirty years. People always called his parenting "babysitting" and thought it was weird he was there for field trips and made food for potlucks. And it hasn't changed. My own husband has to constantly correct people that he isn't babysitting and he would be changing more diapers while we're out and about but men's rooms rarely having a changing station.

This is the best movie that says single parents who are not women but men, you're appreciated, we value you, we see you and we know you're doing a great job. Don't quit, don't give up, you can do it too. I am a woman but I'm touched watching it. Good fathers are underestimated, they are not praised and shown gratitude or given the acknowledgement they deserve for being wonderful parent. We love you ❤️💜. I hope every man out there afraid of such responsibility and decided to shirk it, or abandoned your kids learn something from this. It's not too late to be there for your child. Those who have lost their spouses,I know you feel helpless and hopeless. But you can do it. You can raise a great kid if you allow yourself to, if only you'll give yourself a chance to be that wonderful dad you ought to be.

At first I was like, "A movie about a father raising his child. How is this groundbreaking?" But then I realized I need to see this movie because maybe it will open my eyes to what single fathers go through. I'm looking forward to this movie.

My two older brothers and I were raised by a single father since 2001 when our mother died from ovarian cancer. At age 13 we found out I had a brain tumor. I’d later become paralyzed from the waist down for a few years while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. My dad was right there every step. After that, we found out one of my brothers had a heroine addiction that eventually took his life. My dad is an incredible person and I’m so glad a movie is out there to represent all the wonderful dads out there

I love how he showed the double standards between women and men in this movie while also keeping the struggles of a parent in general. He showed how the people around you affect you and how they try to gaslight and manipulate you. Marion was the perfect example of a helicopter grandmother; doubtful, condescending, controlling and doesn’t respect boundaries. Marion is someone no parent wants to have over them.

I loved that they put that cutting onions line because I definitely cried from just the trailer...i have a feeling I'm gonna need to watch with a box of tissues. My dad is a widower and I'm his only daughter...now granted I was 21 when she passed, but it doesn't matter the age being a dad to a girl is hard.
