Great shave Paul. The piccolo packs quite a punch for its size. Picked up the same TOBS a while back, haven’t used it yet. Love the scent. Really does smell like you just cut open a grapefruit. Beautiful flowers by Mrs. H like always. Have a great week.

The Fatip Piccolo and TOBS Grapefruit, two of my favorites in one video. The Piccolo is my go-to razor when I have 3-4 days of beard growth. I call it my bush hog, because it mows down whiskers like nobody's business! You can't go wrong with TOBS either. It's definitely my preferred shave cream. Thanks very much for sharing the video, Paul!

The two Captains Choice lather bowls I order from Captains Choice arrived today from the US. I got the standard size and large size ones, in the same colour as the one on your shelf. Not a shave day today, so I knocked up some test lathering with both the bowls. Absolutely superb and very efficient, and much better and faster than previous lather bowls I've owned. Really pleased with them. Got a little sample of Creed Aventus coming sometime this week. It should go really nice with the Classic 24 from Wickham (which apparently is a dead ringer for the scent of Creed Aventus). Should be some enjoyable shaves this week 😃👍🏼 Great vid 😉.

Great shave Paul mate! how are you doing hope you are well, I've used that Brut shower gel many a time before and it does not smell exactly the same as the cologne but it is a lovely scent but you might be disappointed if you expect it to smell like the Cologne. I like the Old Spice shower gel better as that is identical to the cologne smell and it lasts on you for quite a long time. 👍

Good evening Paul! The intro to you videos are always stunning and I do enjoy the flower very much. The Fatip razor does indeed look aggressive. Is it Muhle R41 aggressive or a bit milder? Frankly, it reminds me of the open comb Gillette razors. TOBS Grapefruit is a favorite of yours; are they still making it or has it been permanently discontinued? I do enjoy the TOBS Coconut shaving cream...very nice scent. Great advice on how to achieve a light touch and the importance sharp and clean blades. Yes, the razor ought be doing the work and nothing forced. True...cut and nicks are going to happen. I like the sausage, egg, and chips...yummy. I think I finally found a shaving soap I am truly have an allergy to...RazoRock P160. It burns a bit when I apply the lather. That being said, I never have a rash or even a red face to be fair...just that burning sensation. I am thinking about my evening shave tonight. I have the Above the Tie Copper Windsor R1 loaded with a 1970 Gillette Platinum Plus blade (11th use). Soap choice TBD, That Darn Rob synthetic brush, and Captain's Choice Bay Rum aftershave. Yes, that will do nicely. I have my eye on some Lanolin soaps myself. I have been using a 1941 Williams Lanolin facial soap as a pre-shave or as a post-shave scrub. It is leaving my face with that MWF shaving soap feeling. Since my antique soap isn't going to last forever, I am thinking about Stirling Scots Pine Sheep soap as a suitable replacement. Thank you so much Paul for sharing all these great tips and products. Take care.

Todd F, I would honestly say that on a scale from 1 to 10, if the Muehle R41 is 10 for aggressiveness, then the FaTip is about 8: aggressive, but not uncomfortable.

Is yours Fatip a V1 or a V2. V2 has a little stamped in FP the underside of the lower plate. I have one and it's an amazing efficient, but yet still a fairly mild shaver. They widened the top plate a tiny bit, and it made a world of difference. Lately I have been very much enjoying that Yaqi double open comb. A perfect shaver. Just the right amount of aggression, combined with the "I could shave in the dark with this thing" feeling of comfort. Great shaves and all the best to you.
