I feel like the opening part is pretty much inspired by much older games even before Undertale. It even has that thing where it fades out too quickly so you gotta read it like your life depends on it.

@xg223 Fauna mentioned it in the beginning of this clip. Undertale kinda did the same thing where it's practically an homage to older games but I'd say it's more of a parody.
