I cooked up a cool way to make binding look like cording by adding some batting. I am using this method on the Santa Pillows. (Also will be used on the Spring Pillows and that pattern will be published in Jan. 2021. ) Enjoy!

I'm with you, Christine, I enjoy hand stitching the binding down (most of the time). What an interesting way to do the faux cording!

I love that needle threader too. When I used to hand quilt, I could thread a size 12 between with that threader.

Sorry about that. We were trying to get the videos out quickly, and getting Lexi to show cuteness is sometimes a battle. She has a lot of attitude.

Hi there - this is super cute. You videos are very informative. So informative I got inspired and purchased a Brother NQ 1600E for embroidery and doing edge-to-edge quilting. I see from your website you have many, many edge-to-edge quilting designs that are amazing. The most amazing group of designs are the designs that are in the Jumbo 1 expansion pack. My largest hoop has an embroidery area of 6 x 10. The designs in the Jumbo 1 expansion pack are for over 7 x 13 embroidery area - too large for my hoop. Do you plan to make Jumbo 1 available in smaller sizes? If so, when?
@AmelieScott3 жыл бұрын
Since you have a 6” x 10” hoop. I would recommend reducing the edge to edge small file about 10%. This will give you more room when you connect the designs. As for the Jumbo 1 &. 2, we probably will not make them available for smaller sizes. Sorry.

Do you make the cover a 1 inch or 2 inch larger then the pillow insert to allow for the plump?
@AmelieScott3 жыл бұрын
I make the front and the back 18” to fit an 18” pillow form. If I were to make it bigger, it wouldn’t be full.

Why not stitch in the ditch instead of doing all of that by hand?

It doesn’t look professional when you do it by machine, and my samples travel all across America to different shops, so they have to look professional.
