Faux Leather tutorial, from start to finish. Edited so the faux leather tutorial is completed in a watchable time. It's brilliant being able to make faux leather out of card you already have laying around. If not it's perfectly possible top make it from kitchen rolls and cereal packets
You can also make faux leather out of black and coloured card, using inks and polish to colour it later making it look more like leather again
There are several tools you will need to make faux leather with:
Card
Paper
Scissors
Embossing machine
Guillotine
pencil
ruler
varnish plus PVA and tacky glue
Cotton based material
waxed bookbinding cotton plus needle
inks and polish
Allow lots of drying time... I hope you enjoy the faux leather making video, its not done professionally, and it was done just to show different crafting techniques using materials we probably have lying around - I love making things, and I especially love faux leather making booklets for fun and enjoyment

Some folk sell their journals on a blog they have, might be cheaper than ebay to advertise at the end of the tutorial if the journal is for sale and how much I have also seen others who advertise them at the end of their tutorials and put up the price on the screen and postage is sorted after when the person knows the destination country.

I have watched this in bed this morning and I love it! Then I read the comments and was shocked that a couple of them were so downright rude! One person did apologise after getting a nudge from someone so kudos to that person, but why say something unkind? Better to remain silent I say! But I just loved your tutorial and cannot thank you enough. I will definitely be trying this! Thank you so much xxx

This works well with breakfast box Cardstock plus 240... The way to success is via manipulating the card fully whilst using the glycerine and water solution.. It helps soften the fibres and makes it very flexible.. Hope this helps..

Really creative and quality effect. With so many folks asking about the products and tools you used, you might want to consider using Amazon affiliate links to feature key resources used. You could put the links directly into the video description, or host a channel supplies list on a separate page. That way you could mention these links at the end of the video (disclosing they are affiliate links) and get a little extra dosh to support your channel should anyone follow the link to make a purchase.

@seamoon6716
@seamoon6716 11 ай бұрын
Thank you, they are great fun to make. I have some which I have ‘put’ through rough testing by chucking them in my bags, taking them out and using them, so they really have been roughed about in everyday use, and they still hold up after a couple of years. So once they are made and finished they can take some pretty heavy wear and tare which is surprising …. The important protective element is the thin varnish once decorated and coloured, it also helps its flexibility as it goes into the fibres of the card as well as sitting on top… Love Crafting x

Hi, its card from cereal packets for the faux leather look covers, or anything up to approx 300gsm card - The paper to make the pages is approx 90gsm, I like to use a slightly thicker paper for the pages as it allows people to draw or doodle within the notebooks and it doesn't show through the other side - They are really fun to make.
