Materials and tools i used:
- polymer clay: Fimo translucent white, Premo: gold 18 k, Bronze, black (to mix with bronze and make a darker tone), yellow
- copper wire ø 0,50mm and ø 1,50 mm
- Spring maker (coat hanger wire, cut and folded as an L)
- pliers and wire cutters
- blade
- needle
- polyethylene sheet
- rolling pin
- sandpaper 600-800-1000
- liquid soap and bowl with water
- Denim
- oven
Items must be cooked to 110 ° C in the oven at home, following polymer clay manufacturer's instructions.

Les mostraré cómo hacer un falsa piedra ojo de Tigre con las arcillas poliméricas. Aprenderán además a hacer el engarce con alambre.
Materiales y herramientas que he usado:
- Arcilla polimérica: Fimo blanco stanslúcido, Premo: oro 18 k, Bronce, negro (para mezclar con el cobre y obtener una tonalidad más oscura) y amarillo
- Alambre de cobre ø 0,50 mm ø y 1.50mm
- Herramienta para hacer el resorte (percha cortada y plegada a L)
- Pinzas y alicate
- Cuter
- Rodillo
- Aguja
- papel de lija N. 600-800-1000
- jabón líquido y recipiente con agua
- tela de vaqueros
- horno
Los objetos deben ser horneados a 110 ° C en un horno común, siguiendo las instrucciones del fabricante de la arcilla polimérica.

Dans cette vidéo, je vous vais montrer comment faire un faux œil de tigre avec de la pâte polymère et je vais vous expliquer comment intégrer la pierre avec le fil de cuivre.
Matériaux et outils que j'ai utilisé:
- Pâte polymère: Fimo blanc translucide, Premo: 18 k or, bronze, noir (pour mélanger avec le bronze et faire un tonalité plus foncé) et jaune
- Fil de cuivre ø 0.50mm et ø1.50mm
- Outil pour faire du ressort (manteau en fil métallique, coupé et plié comme un L)
- Pinces rondes
- Pinces coupantes
- lame
- aiguille
- Feuille de polyéthylène
- Rouleau à pâtisserie, ou machine à pâtes
- Papier sablé 600-800-1000
- Savon liquide et un bowl avec de l'eau glacée
- Jeans
- four
Les articles doivent être cuits à 110ºC par 20/30 minutes dans un four commun, suivant les instructions du fabricant de pâte polymère.

Mo Clay I love, love, love this technique. I never thought of baking the raw clay in this kind of wire wrap before, I'm sure it holds it in with no problem. I love Cindy's videos too and in addition to all the free information she gives her monthly videos are only a little over $3 a month, not bad for all you get. Digo que mis videos no sono profesionales no porque no tengan buenas informaciones, sino porque mis conocimientos técnicos, en cuanto a toma de videos, no son suficientes. En el comentario hablábamos de una artista que vende sus propios videos. Son productos profesionales no sólo en el contenido sino también en la presentación. Ella explica (hablando) cada paso. Sus vídeos son como lecciones presenciales. Yo en cambio muestro todo en pocos minutos, sin hablar y sin mostrar las dificultades que uno puede encontrar. Además te aclaro que, aunque tu no pagas por ver estos vídeos que pongo en youtube, a mi youtube me paga en proporción a los seguidores y a las visualizaciones del vídeo. KZfaq es como una televisión que da publicidad y que las empresas pagan. Es justamente por esto que agradezco si mis seguidores promueven mis vídeo porque me dan la posibilidad de crecer. :-) Si, es verdad, sería muy lindo no tener que trabajar y ofrecer todo gratis... pero lamentablemente todos tenemos que pagar el pan... Millaray Alvarez Millaray, si usas plastilina no tienes que hornearla. No sé qué plastilina usas, pero si es como la porcelana fría, seca al aire. De todas formas, cuando compras un producto, deberías encontrar las instrucciones de cómo utilizarlo, junto al producto. Un abrazo!!

I hope you'll see this as its so late: I can never tell from your videos how to make your coat hanger 'spring maker' and how to load the wire into it to get a coil by spinning the hanger. Is there any advice you could give me about that? Thank you so much: your videos are super helpful!

I'm sorry, I read now. In the video I show how to make spring, I don't understand what else you need to know. I took a metal hanger and I cut a piece of metal, then I bent to L. Then I put the wire as you see in the video. That's all!

The problem with transparent gems is that with clay you can not make a transparent effect... then is not possible to make it!

I am new to this and came across your video when looking up on how to make stone drawer pulls. I love this and the colors are ideal ... so what would be the best clay to use and what colors? I have 20 knobs to make!!! Yeah I am nuts lol... I am thinking about putting the clay over the ceramic knobs I already have, do you think this will work ... and btw I subscribed to you !!! sto guardando tutta la serie delle tue "faux stone" questa è bellissima, è quella che mi piace di più! vedo che hai bagnato anche il filo di rame, come fai per non farlo scurire?

Grazie!!! :-) ... per quanto riguarda il filo di rame non mi sono mai "angosciata" :-) se scuriva. Ad ogni modo immagino che si passa una vernice trasparente sopra dovrebbe non scurire.... ma questa è soltanto una idea mia... non è una certezza. Va provato :-)

Hi Mo, In the video it looks like you mixed the yellow with gold and the bronze with black. In the four strips, did you have: bronze, yellow/gold, bronze/black, gold? The video was so fast, I couldn't tell.

+Simon Potter Hi Simon! Thank you for watch my video! :-) I know that people doesn't read instructions I put below in the info box :-D There's a list with all materials I used. Polymer clay I've used is: Fimo translucent white, Premo: gold 18k, Bronze, black and yellow. A tip :-) If you want to watch any video on youtube more slowly or more faster you pass the mouse in the right corner below the video and you will see that there is a gear for settings. Click on the gear and change the speed :-) Have a nice day!

+Mo Clay Hi Mo, thanks for answering. I read the instructions, but in the video it looks like you mix something with the yellow and then a strip of something with the bronze.

+Simon Potter Yes, I mix with the gold a strip of yellow and the I get a gold a little more clear, and I mix a strip of black with the bronze to get a bronze darker. :-)

Hi! in the infobox (clicking below the video where is written "show more") I always put all materials I used in the project. It's writen in 4 languages. I copy here again all I used: - polymer clay: Fimo translucent white, Premo: gold 18 k, Bronze, black (to mix with bronze and make a darker tone), yellow - copper wire ø 0,50mm and ø 1,50 mm - Spring maker (coat hanger wire, cut and folded as an L) - pliers and wire cutters - blade - needle - polyethylene sheet - rolling pin - sandpaper 600-800-1000 - liquid soap and bowl with water - Denim - oven

How long do you sand? I can't get that shine and I wonder if it's because I don't sand long enough.

+Barbara Leibert I sand for a little time... maybe 5 or maximum 10 minutes. But I think that your problem Is not the time longer but the clay you use. In this project I put a very thin sheet of translucent clay at the end. Often, I mix coloured clay with translucent clay and then I get a good shining effect. Hope to be helpful :-)

+Barbara Leibert Are you using the different grits of sand paper? Sand in a circular motion with a light touch. Since the trans clay is so thin, rubbing too hard will remove it. What are you buffing with?

+Barbara Leibert I don't know if that would make any difference, but you can still put the trans on and rebake it. Roll the trans thin as Mo did and apply. I don't know if it will make any difference, but it can't hurt since you aren't getting the results you want any way. Good luck.

Se dovessi fare un lavoro del genere con la porcellana fredda (sai, quella fatta in casa), e la lasciassi quindi indurire all'aria e poi la carteggiassi (o passassi dello smalto lucido), dici che potrebbe funzionare? O essendo una cosa diversa dalla pasta polimerica il risultato non si avvicinerebbe nemmeno? Grazie mille e davvero complimenti, una vera meraviglia :D

non ho mai provato a fare le pietre con la porcellana fredda. Penso però che sia più difficile trovare una tonalità giusta. :-) ma dato che costa poco provare... prova!

Les créas de Tanya Oui, même si je fais de fautes quand je écris en français, je le parle :-) J'ai toujours pensé que avec l'italien et le espagnol, francophone pouvaient comprendre ce que j'avais écrit. Mais, Je vais essayer de mettre des informations aussi en français. :-)

Les créas de Tanya Je voudrais savoir si tu regard la video dans un ordinateur ou dans un téléphone mobile. Il est une question technique, parce que je pourrais mettre des texte après la publication du video, mais, on ne le voit pas si on regard la video dans un mobile. Merci, j'ai toujours aimé le Français :-) ...il est à peu près comme l'italien :-)

This is probably a really stupid question, but what does the sanding description mean?

fatalelv well, if you watch how the stone looks before sanding, you will see that it's not shining. If you sand the surface you will get a smooth and brilliant surface and you don't need to varnish it. Also touching it will looks like a stone. :-) Hope to have been helpful!

+Pamela Stansbury Usually I use aluminium wire approximately the same gauge of this (ø 0,50 mm and ø 1,50 mm) . But it must be soft if you want to make easily the spring.

That looks like bronze and not copper that you are using in Premo. I am wanting to make this project but could you please clarify your color mixing ratios for each of the 4 logs you have. Thank you so much.

bonsoir Fabienne! il n'y a pas de problème si on parle Français. Je le comprends sans problème même si je ne le parle pas parfaitement. Comme tu peut voir tous les vidéos sont mute. Je pense que si on regarde ce que je fais, c'est suffisant pour comprendre comment faire le travaille. J'ai commencé à mettre la traduction en français, dans la info box, il est seulement deux semaines arrière. Alors, le fil que j'ai utilisé est un fil de cuivre. Celui que j'ai roulé pour faire le ressort a un epaisseur de 0,50mm et celui que j'ai mis dans le ressort est de 1,50 mm Le support ou j'ai façonner le fil est faite avec un cintre en métal (celui que on utilice pour les vêtements) découpé et plié comme un L Je te rappelle que les parties extrêmes de cintre, après le coupage, ont besoin du ponçage. Sinon le ressort ce ne défile pas. A bientôt! Monica
