Esta é uma receita que a minha avó fazia quase dia sim, dia não, durante o mês de maio, a época das favas. Ela só variava o peixe: ao domingo era com bacalhau e ovo cozido, durante a semana com carapaus secos ou cavala cozida ou ainda raia frita.
