KAYLYN IVY thank you! I was going crazy trying to see the label... we have very similar thickness, but my curls are just a little bit tighter than yours on top, and very similar in back, right down to the little tail of loose curls!

You post the most informative videos when it comes to natural hair care. You have helped me out a lot with dealing with extreme dryness in my hair and also providing me with products to use in my deep conditioning treatment. Because of your videos, I now have a hooded hair dryer so that I can start my deep conditioning journey the right way. Thank you so much.

The macadamia is great, but it does have LOTS of silicone. So shampooing after a fews uses is essential. I use it when flat ironing for heat protection.

I appreciate you showing love! I really do! :)But I was literally JUST about to talk about this in another video lol but yes I ALWAYS apply an oil to my deep conditioners. I use olive oil (because its cheap and in a huge bottle lol) but as you know different oils all have their own special benefits and nutrients that could give your deep conditioner an extra boost

Kaylyn, I am transitioning have been for a year. I am so glad I found your videos. I was clueless. Except for the deep conditioning my hairdressers is manic about deep conditining so it makes sense to do that for natural hair as well I have always used a hooded dryer when I did my own hair. Which I never did, my hairdresser did it all. So a lot of what you're saying I know it is true as she has done it for my hair (although) it was texturized for years. I love yoru videos and I did subscribe!

I just recently started my journey on going natural, and I really like the results you've gotten from deep conditioning under the dryer. I was wondering if this can damage your hair at all? Being as though you are using a form of heat. I want to stay away from using heat on my hair as much as possible. Is this a better alternative for using heat though?

+Angela Taylor good luck in your transition!! It won't be easy but please don't give up no matter what because the end it so rewarding! But I'd HIGHLY suggest the shea moisture 10 in 1 renewal hair mask or the shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil deep conditioner (not mentioned in the video) . Those are both SUPER moisturizing and after you rinse them out you can still kinda feel their moisturizing effects on your hair.

@leahlind379 6 жыл бұрын
lorelei it gives you a false sense of silkiness so silicones will coat your hair locking out moisture, and you'll have to clarify your hair to get the build up off.

Girl don’t miss out by following the myths. Joico products are backed by thrall proven research.....they work. My hair was & is still down my back while using conditioners with silicones. Both relaxed & natural. I have 4B/C hair.

Add olive oil or coconut oil or castor oil to the ms deep treatment mask and it will work better that's what helped me and I love it now👍

I’m sorry this may sound like a dumb question but what kind of olive oil can you use like cooking olive oil ?? I’m trying to come up with a conditioner for my hair
@KaylynIvy
@KaylynIvy 5 жыл бұрын
Yea it’s basically cooking olive oil from the grocery store 🤷🏽‍♀️ just get a great value bottle or something it doesn’t have to be the fancy oil that chefs be using lol

Is joico and macadamia oil deep repair curly girl approved. I only asked because you mentioned shine and silky but no definition.
@KaylynIvy
@KaylynIvy 7 жыл бұрын
My curls are def still defined when I use them . They aren't as defined as shea moistures deep conditioners because shea moistures make my coils pop on another level but joico and macadamia still make my curls defined nonetheless lol

Do you rinse the deep conditioner out with warm or cool water? Which one leaves your hair still feeling moisturized?
@KaylynIvy
@KaylynIvy 6 жыл бұрын
Warm! And they all do honestly ! But I’d say the pink one is the most moisturizing one of them all and the ONLY one that I’ve NEVER heard a bad review on no matter the hair type . That one seems to work well for everyone

I haven't purchased mine yet...but you can go to a Sally Beauty or order from Amazon, those are the places I looked. There are some soft feel ones that fit on your head like a dryer, only much smaller. Others have attachments for your face so you can also give yourself facial treatments.
