Those elf blademasters have reroll to hits themselves. So it cancelled the monstrosity stench out and made it a straight roll

At 35:46 you got so lucky at that event, i've gotten the lost regiment event a few times, but each time the lost unit in question is this uber broken unit where turning them into wright guard would be a nerf to them or break my army's goal if i'm going mostly shooting/knights. You essentially traded in a crap melee unit and got an elite undead one to replace it. That's an excellent trade.

@@MACC8585 I know, the alternate outcome is the unit takes damage but gets a level up. But if its your first time experiencing the event it can really screw you over depending on the unit and your army comp.

Yeah, it was pretty lucky that the conscripts got lost. I have only searched before so I figured I wait and see what happens. I can imagine getting screwed by switching something like deepguard with divine protection and getting some random wight guard instead.

Suggestions to improve this game: -Fire into melee under certain conditions (Flank? Very short range? Both?) -Way to improve ranged power -End round on automatically on last enemy death -MOAR! Bigger maps. Longer Campaign. More units.

Firing into melee would be nice, but it should come with penalties or risk. I think the biggest change range needs is to seperate skill into weapon skill and shooting skill. Ending when you win would be a very nice quality of life thing, at least for me. :P Longer campaigns, more units and more maps would be great too. :)

Ranged power is plenty strong. Movement Is way too loose in this game with little to no impact on shooting

50:00 I believe what the Orc Boar Riders were doing in that battle were staying out of counter charge range of the Wrights since they were such a threat. Tho the spear would be more nimble, they might not act as a big enough of a deterent to stronger cav.

The flamethrowers are evil. They are basically if you gave dwarven inferno cannons the ability to increase their model count.

I haven't played with the flame cannons yet, but I'll take your word for it because I did have a lot of fun with flamers when I tried them out. They can just ruin a unit with a good roll.

Ooh, I underestimated the skaven, they seem better than expected. Not a fan of the snipers though, they need too many levels to really become great, they felt like a worse ballista when I got them on an elf run from one of the special nodes.

I like them, but you're right that they need to level a bit before they get good. So they are mainly good if you get to start with them, and then they can annihilate large units.

Hey man, picked up the game thanks to you, I've been having fun so far. Haven't tried the skavens yet, but they do look fun. Gonna try them once i'm done unlocking the elf challenges. Will you do some PvP? That could be interesting as well.

Nice, skaven is super fun, favorite faction so far. I'm not really a PvP guy, so I haven't really planned on doing that.

Would have loved to get some flamers as well. They forced me to make the hard decision that everyone have to face one time in their life, sniper or flamethrower.

An initiative system for combat would be great. Break tests after taking significant damage from ranged weapons would also be good. Undead crumbling is too weak as well imo. Brilliant game though. Loads of fun.

I think that would have to be really significant damage, because I think ranged is already really strong. Maybe have it as a trait for artillery and maybe things like flamers, otherwise ranged units would be really broken. Game is still great as is, but I think there is room for improvements.

Youre playing lore qccurate skaven. They know they cant attack head on so they would 100% kite and shoot

Game itself isnt bad, but dev need to work on pathfinding more, I cant count moments where I cant make a charge to flank a unit that is almost half in my charge range but AI can make one with sliver of range, obscured by 2 other unit or make it trough difficult terrain while my unit cant. That plus more units in armies would be cool.
