One of my very favorite garden flowers also , in my native plant bed I grow the wild hydrangea (hydrangea arborescens L. ) it has fuzzy cream white color flowers with a sterile flower here and there and wow it draws all the pollinators it is a wonderful full tall plant it would actually be a great hedge . I do prune it down some for shape but still attains a tall size 4-5 feet

I'm so jealous that your hydrangeas bloom blue! They're gorgeous!! We have a phlox variety that was discovered in San Antonio, 'John Fannick phlox', that typically starts blooming around mid June. When the nights are consistently 70*+ is when it starts budding up and blooming. They go into September with a second smaller flush of blooms. The first flush stays around for a long time as long as we don't have bad wind or thunderstorms. One of the easiest, least fussy plants in my garden!

Limetta Hydrangea is a 4' x 4' reblooming arborescens that blooms from June until the first October frost in my zone 7a garden. Sun or shade, dry or wet, it just keeps blooming. I grow quercifolias, paniculatas, other arborescens, serrata, macrophylla, climbing, and even a cascading variety of hydrangea. I started growing Limetta about 4 years ago and it is has become my absolute favorite hydrangea. It's a blooming machine and the flowers also dry a beautiful bright green color. They seem to work in any growing conditions I throw them into and are very low maintenance.

@@KellerLatina I replied to this, but I think KZfaq kicked off my answer because it contained the websites where I got them and brand name. I'll try again without that info. If you search for limetta online, you should be able to find it for sale. I bought all of mine as quarts from 2 different online retailers. Both online retailer's names begin with the letter G. This plant grows really fast and like acidic soil. I think they sell them as 1 gallons also.

My 15 yr old Endless Summer blue hydrangea is glorious. PNW. Tree used to shade some, but neighbor cut their tree down. So been getting too crispy in full sun w/ our hot summers. I’m going to add a shade cloth on 90°+. Any advice? I don’t want to transplant it. I could plant an arborvitae to help shade it, but not a fan due to spiders. Not enough room for a tree. 8b, morning-all day sun.
