Thanks for watching! I've binged your videos! Great content and insights. My kids gravitate to anything hands on and messy. Even when I am reading outload they are drawing or building something as they listen. They tend to remember more when they have physically been involved it. More work for me but, also fun and we make the memories that we treasure from homeschooling.

Hey girl! Great video! I’m the same, language arts is not my favorite subject but math was my favorite in school, but I don’t like teaching it! It was so funny when you said this! 💛

Thanks for watching and commenting. I though I would enjoy teaching math but, it just ended up being frustrating for all of us. My kids want to understand the concept right away. If they don't they push back with frustration which leads me to become frustrated. We've started to use Teaching Textbooks which has helped a lot. I still sit in an help them when needed.

@@geekyabode I completely relate to this! We’ve switched math curriculums three times so far. Right now my older son is doing the good and the beautiful which I really love but he is doing OK with. I’m going to have him finish the book and I’ll reassess at the end. 😃 I hear good things about teaching textbooks so I may look into this curriculum..

Language Arts isn’t a favourite subjects for us as well!!! My kids struggle with it as well as me!!! We love learning thru books tho!!! My brother teaches math to my kids as he used to be a math teacher!!! I love teaching science and anatomy!!! I don’t teach art but allow and encourage my kids to get creative!!!

Yes, unfortunately languages arts is a challenge for us. We are all bored by it. The logic of English videos have been a good fit for us and reading out has as well. I think I am going to try a brave Writer Dart and maybe the grammar program from Guest Hollow. Books work well for us but, they need to be short segments. My kids get easily distracted. I'm outsourcing math to Teaching Textbooks now with some assistance from me when needed. It has taken the load off me which is better.
