This is one of my favorite powerful writing prompts. The invitation is for you to freewrite for five minutes (or longer if the energy is there) keeping your fingers dancing across the keys or your pen on the page staying true to whatever’s in your heart and mind in this moment based on the topic. Don’t stop to think, just write. And here’s the topic: WRITE ABOUT A TIME YOU WERE UNDER DRESSED OR OVER DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION. This can be a true story, in dream, or a total invention. Have fun don’t stop to think, don’t worry about punctuation, or getting it right or even following the directions-don’t worry about having to share this with anybody, just allow what’s inside of you to bloom forth. And GO!!
