In this video I am sharing my collection of luxury shoe dupes. Let’s discuss why you might buy a dupe of a luxury item instead of from the high end brand itself - there’s lots of reasons why in certain circumstances it makes sense.

Really appreciated this video, Claire. Great guidance on when to consider a dupe and tips on sources. Steve Madden makes a great dupe for the Oran which I was pleased to wear this summer.

Great video! I saw so many Chanel shoes I wanted to try out but was hesitant since I am hard wearing on my footwear. These would be a great way to test out some styles. Thank you for the links!

All for an ‘inspired by’ version, no harm in it. Sometimes they suit my needs more than the original! I recently bought a silver pouch bag very much like the BV one but I don’t want to spend several thousand dollars on a silver bag, which will probably only be used for evenings. Just a FYI, I kept some leather shoes in a plastic box but even with air holes in it the leather began to peel 😔. Ikea have some breathable fabric ones which have been much better.

I actually use the IKEA ones too - thanks for mentioning. I will keep an eye on the shoes in the boxes. I usually swap them over each season. I agree dupes can often be better than the original - I certainly find that with my Dune sandals ☺️

It makes sense to use your own cobbler. Nothing wrong with wearing something that was inspired by the catwalk, it’s legal as long as there is a certain amount of differences.

I have Sam Edelman sandals, Bay Slide Sandals that fit me amazingly. I find designer shoes too narrow and never fit me correctly. (except Manolo Blahniks for some reason) so I tend towards dupes. Sam Edelman also do a great loafer. I won't ever buy Chanel so I'm on the hunt for a slingback clone with a smaller heel. Be careful of the Amina Muaddi shoes. There's quality issues.

I’ve linked some Sam Edelman shoes that are Chanel dupes in the description - haven’t got any myself but heard they are good. There’s definitely a few other good Chanel slingback dupes out there as well. Thanks for the warning re Amina Muaddi. I’m not going to be getting the Begum pumps now anyway - I’ve learned from having the dupes that I just won’t get the wear out of them. Luckily as they weren’t available a few years back it has saved me some money and from making a luxury mistake! Thanks for watching! 😊

Hi. I size up in the Loupe - only because they are open back and I hate the feeling of my heel hanging off the back in any way. So I am a 39 usually and I take a 40 in the Loupe which are fine for me 😊
