Wow, pretty darn impressive, and I was prepared to hate it, thank God or quantum physics for letting me listen, first 30 seconds were not great, but she has a great voice and the style works. A friend suggested that Dylan was referring to a physical location and not a person as the object of the lyrics - the narrator can't leave the location without a last cup of coffee.

Too up tempo. This is actually a blues tune. From the point of the story teller, it's one of despair and resignation. He has found himself in an inescapable conclusion to a situation that he may (the bread maker) have created or he's just an outlaw with a price upon his head. You have a nice voice but the approach to the song is entirely wrong, IMHO.

Besides being arrogant and opinionated, you are the one who is wrong. First, this is not a blues. Do you know anything about three-chord progressions and twelve-bar blues? It doesn't have that structure at all although you can do blues rifts with it. The song is musically so strong that it allows many interpretations and styles - from folk to rock to gypsy to wherever you want to take it! Second, this was inspired by gypsies and this version captures that beautifully. Above all, music (against the bullshit being propounded about "cultural appropriation") is the ultimate culture-mulcher and leveler. Reinterpreting and reinventing songs and rhythms is what music is all about - Bod Dylan included (who is both an outright plagiarist and reinventor of the American songbook, which is why he got his Nobel Prize). The song is wrong in your opinion because you have a limited musical imagination. It is for sure not a comment on the creativity of this group.
