When wetting for blocking, the best way to remove the most water so the fabric is left damp is to use a towel and your bare feet… gently squeeze out most of the water by hand then lay out the fabric on a towel. Roll up the towel and then have fun standing and walking on the towel 😊 When you unroll the towel your work will be just damp and ready to block and will dry much faster. This is also good to wring out your hand wash and woolen items without stressing or destroying your garment

I would like you to clarify a doubt, before making the sleeves and the rest of the body, in the last phase do you have to wash the sweater part and dry it? I am very confused.

Briana, this is genius! Thank you so much for showing us how to make this beautiful sweater. Question: I have a concern that, since the sweater is crocheted in the round, how did you overcome the "twist" in the body and the sleeves? I hope you know what I mean by that, because I don't know how to explain, lol.

When checking, if it is long enough bevor dividing the arms from the body: How do I know it is in fact long enough? Is there a kind of meassurement so its not too tight in the end? (Something like it has too be as low as one finger under your armpit?) Love your pattern!😊

With the top down construction, the best way to know for your body is to try it on and see how it feels to you :) You could do the split round to get an idea of where the fabric sits under the arms

I do find when going with more acrylic options, using a DK helps me match gauge and drape better at times. But it really just depends on the yarn. You will want a yarn that has some stretch (so not cotton), and for sure do a gauge swatch. If I were to attempt an acrylic, I'm thinking Brava Sport might actually work well. shrsl.com/2rp5f

@@BrianaK I'm currently using Brava Tweed on the Traveler pattern, and while it's working up pretty thick and squishy, I plan on this being a winter sweater (if we ever have winter again in Boston). Will be picking up some sport to use for this pattern.

Terrific pattern but why use dark yarn for a tutorial? It doesn't make it easy to follow where your hook goes forthat intricate pattern, this is why I will not purchase it even I like it a lot. Also i don't find your tutorial comprehensive enough, you skip too many steps to help on the accomplishment of this garment.
