I think he gets sheltered in sparring judging by his partners. I think he could be a decent level pro, but he’s gotta ditch his dada like Tyson did or at least bring in another solid trainer alongside that’ll push him and work on his skills.

I think he could be good but not if John Fury is handling his career. His brother went to the next level when he brought in new coaches and trained outside the Fury clan. Tommy needs to do the same. If he is serious about improving, he would need to get a new coach. I don’t think he is actually as serious about being a pro as he says he is.

I can easily tell you're a KSI fanboy who doesn't care about boxing outside of influencer boxing. People have just commented on how terrible the main event and co main events were. That's what most people were looking to see and those fights didn't deliver.

I think it has more to do with how the build up was and the hype around it that just didn’t deliver. boxing fan or not anyone would be disappointed by the main events. Hmm true.. I think an easy fix would be to separate the judges from the crowd… with technology and cameras nowadays you can judge and score in the box away from the crowd’s manipulation.. and since it’s recorded (from many angles) you would be able to look back at the round during the break between and judge even more accurately.

The “karate stance” is not viable against legit pro boxers. Tommy is the exception because imo he’s only a “professional” by label alone. Any legitimate pro who takes the shit seriously would run through a style like KSI like butter. There is a REASON you don’t see top guys fighting how KSI does.

I believe Tommy only had 7 pro fights prior to joining this scene and even then the pros he faced were journeymen and he could barely beat them. The reason you can't see the score is because of literally what ksi did, clinching is allowed but clinching excessively will get you no where and judges love a good fight not a hug fest, the reason live score isn't a thing is because if you see you're winning you can start to waste time because your winning, jjs corner let him down they should always say it's close you need to do more, when I watch fighters corners some fighters are blatantly winning but the corner will say this is a close fight you.need to come out stronger or they'll say you gotta drop this guy you can't leave this to the judges

If every other live sport does it, there’s always a chance at a comeback if the individual/teams are down. If they’re a true competitor, they put their foot on the accelerator and try to get the W. I fully agree that it’s possible, however live scoring would also allow for more accountability towards judging etc. especially if it’s clearly a broken and flawed system. Too many mistakes should really force a change but in boxing, clearly does not

Naw Tommy is a good boxer, KSI is just awkward. I wouldn’t say he’s good. I mean it’s obvious from the fight he only has the right hand and clinching ability. He isn’t defensively sound, doesn’t have combination punching, his jab is trash, and most importantly, it’s like the guy doesn’t control where he punches. If he actually had coordination I genuinely believe he could’ve KOed Tommy in the 1st round. But instead his big right hand landed on Tommy’s trap/neck. If that landed flush on the chin or temple when Tommy wasn’t ready, he’s getting dropped. But the unorthodox style just makes it hard to fight you. Coming from someone who actually boxes, sometimes the hardest fights are from the worst fighters. And that’s because they have no tune or rhythm to their movements.

Agree mostly. All I’ll say is that Jake was fighting Tommy at his own game which went surprisingly well. KSI had a plan made by his team. Went well but his poor shot placement, wild and predictable style is in my opinion what let him down.

But this is entertainment, KZfaqrs have grinded hard to obtain the following they have and they are able to sell an event to an audience to pay money. They don't need a promoter like Eddy, They are the promoters. Unlike current boxing which can have fantastic fights being made, it takes a year to get them ready if both parties are ready to negotiate which is never the case. The sport is on the fall, Fighters are not fighting each other, Lets look at the heavy boys right now. Tyson fury is pulling a jake paul and fighting an MMA fighter for some reason... Fighting Dillian whyte and Dereck Chisora for the 93rd time that are below his technical skill level but is not willing to speak AJ or usyk who i actually think would beat both of them. KZfaqrs are not supposed to be dedicated boxing fanatics They are there to have a punch on. Its not great boxing, I dont even call it boxing, Just call it a fight or a scrap, Its all it really is. It’s because they’ve done it forever and it adds to the “thrill” and “anticipation” of the fight not knowing who is winning. I could see maybe implementing scoring round by round so fighters know how they are doing, but it’s be difficult to get going. There are massive pros and cons. You don’t want fighters just coasting if they are winning convincingly or getting upset at the judges mid fight because a round was scored against them when they thought they won. It also keeps the fans engaged more because they don’t know who is going to win and want to see the decision. It could help in some ways though, like a fighter who thinks he’s up but is really down will fight differently and try to bring it back and win. Also, it’s just change the entire sport and how people train/fight so it’s a huge change to make. I do think the “fan score cards” are a terrible idea tho as far as real score cards go
