Honestly even as an Akechi fan, I think the comment Ryuji gave was deserved and wasn't all that malicious. The gang has mixed feelings towards Akechi. Only natural that given how much of a bro Ryuji is, taking down Shido is more for Joker than Akechi in Ryuji's mind. Plus Ryuji for how nice he can be, can be confrontational and blunt about his feelings.

Hearing him talk about growing bean sprouts also caused my mind to immediately jump to Yomi from Senran Kagura. If a homeless ninja can successfully grow bean sprouts, you can too Yusuke. Every time I hear Yusuke talkinga bout how small his budget is, I always wished there was a way to pass him some money since I'm usually sitting around 7-8 mil yen during my playthroughs. It's just like "Bro, I got you. I don't know shit about art, but I'll stock you up on food."

Jane Novak my guess is it’s a reference to a video about whether Yusuke is gay or European. The video used a song from the legally blonde musical about being gay or European but replaced the legally blonde stuff with persona characters (it’s a funny video, you should watch it). So, in the previous joke, “I’m not even European”=“I’m not even gay.”

Thats what Ryuji is like. Remember way back in the first palace, before Ann joined, he acted like a dick to her, as though he is a good guy, his blunt and emotional personality is what drives him. Its what makes him rash when it comes to interacting with morgana, and though akechi does deserve praise, its ryuji. Even if they forgave eachover, ryuji and morgana still have gripes with one another. And remember, in game, its only been a MONTH since the insanity of Shido's palace and Yaldaboth. That timeframe ain't enough for ryuji to forgive akechi. And there is my argument for ryuji being an ass to akechi.

Yeah...Though I get it. Ryuji still can’t forgive him cause y’know...he tried to kill Joker & of course everything else. Joker wants to stop The Final Final Final Boss by having Akechi (who tried to kill him) help out so of course Ryuji won’t like it...but he’ll allow it not only for the cause but also cause Joker is his bro.

@@yungbreezy36 Well, he was psychologically harmed at a young age of being alone in a stranded and cruel society, he was also emotionally unstable whilst trying to be someone else, all this combined with the powers that he gained that didn't go well with his lonely nature. Of course, his crimes shouldn't be overlooked as nothing, they were brutal to the ones that were affected by it, but when you look at his sad backstory and the events of him being mentally and emotionally manipulated by Shido and then being left to die afterward he deserves a second chance like almost anyone if he's willing to co-operate in a truthful manner. In a way, that's why I like Haru's comment at 2:20
