"Advanced F2L" is kind of an oxymoron. You get faster by knowing heaps and heaps of tips and tricks, and tiny things that work really well for YOU. You leanr 'Advanced F2L" by years of practice.

Grey-man I don't really get you, there are proper complex algorithms that you almost definitely never figure out intuitively for F2L, most F2L stuff is little tricks and being clever, but there are complex algorithms for cases that would take much longer doing intuitively.

I see hes making use of his fingers awkwardly in order to avoid regrips. For example doing a U with the left index. Feels awkward but once you got it down it should be a killer time saver! Currently reinventing my F2L, hope it makes me faster in the long run. Always good to see a pro doing what I'm starting to learn so I know its gonna pay off. Starting to do One-Handed solving aswell, which definitely helps making use of the fingers you have.

Example solves are for experienced or intermediate cubers that are trying to break bad habits. Use an actual tutorial because Feliks's solves are too fast to be used as a tutorial. I personally prefer this website:www.rubiksplace.com/speedcubing/guide/ EDIT: If you're asking what his solving style is maybe try slowing down the playback speed.

So. Imagine you have a pair, and you can insert it by going U R U' R'. A sledge hammer is going R' F R F' instead. Each Trigger (U R U' R' or R' F R F') is useful for different things, like if you're on your last pair, and you have zero edges facing up for OLL, you can do a sledgehammer instead of a standard insert (U R U' R'), and you'll have oriented 2 OLL edges, making OLL easier.

Kevin Li Mats Valk is also somewhat color-blind and this might be the reason why he is not color neutral but prefers blue and green as his down/up face.

Sorry Feliks, but I just don't understand anything that you just did. Please help me out here. When I solve a rubies' cube, I make a white cross, do the white corners, then the second layers of all colors but white and yellow, then solve the yellow, then the corners, and then finish it( counter clockwise of clockwise) Thanks!

Zaid Salaria yep it's recommended that you average less than 15-20 seconds before you watch this video.

Feliks Zemdegs Im still at the beginner method with avg 55 secs, but I try to learn F2L from fridrich method, and try to solve it with fridrich method in 1 minute, then get down to 30 secs, etc... I really like those example solves, you should do more :D

Ikr, I've seen some example solves where the whole F2L is made in 6-7 seconds, and OLL+PLL takes only 2 seconds But I want to be able first to do the F2L from fridrich, and the last layer from beginner method
@sivad1025
@sivad1025 9 жыл бұрын
Also, you don't necessarily need to know all PLL and OLL because-especially for OLL- there are a lot of cases where you can just use two easy algorithms.

Wow its amazing how fast you do your example solves! I'm still learning and my pb is 23.51 seconds. I understood most of the f2l cases, but I just dont understand the pll skip and solving the cross while pairing up 1 corner with the corresponding edge piece. Please can explain more in depth how you do that?

Could you make a video about how to get faster at the cross? :) You did make a video about the cross but I would really like a new one :) It would be very useful... I'm struggling with it and try to improve it but it just doesn't work :p 6-8 seconds to make a cross is just bad :D F2L is better though :p Really like your video's & keep up the awesome work! You're the Usain Bolt of the cubers ;)
