I am a Celtic fan. I met some Porto fans in a bar before the game and they were really nice people. During the conversation I told them Celtic had a Portuguese striker Jorge Cadete. I told them the lyrics. 'There's only one Jorge Cadete, he puts the ball in the net. He's Portuguese and he scores with ease, walking in a Celtic wonderland. They asked me to sing it a few times because they thought it was a great song.

Porto were a disgrace in the final, you heard the Celtic fans booing your players when they picked up their medals. Never heard a team who won anything being so ridiculed like that final.

I'm a Porto fan, but I like Celtic a lot.Balde got sent off (maybe unfairly), but I'm sorry, between 2002/2004, we were better.We won the Uefa Cup and the Uefa Champions league in the following year, proving that we were the best team in Europe in those 2 years.Celtic could win everything that year.You didn't win anything.Porto could win everything in that year.We did win everything.You've won the Champions League once, so you're great.You can't win them all!!!I respect Celtic.Believe it or not.

Must agree with you that nowadays Celtic squad is full of average players (2002/2003 they had several top class players). But not all players of the current Celtic line up are broomsticks with legs. Victor Wanyama for example, thats an example og a fairly good player. I'd like to see him in Porto. He would evolve to be a super midfielder.

I still ask myself if you can be so blindfolded by your bias to ignore the evidence the Porto were a superior side during the match. Have you seen those plays by Deco? If dirty means that well it was pretty dirty. If dirty means havin players so good they cant's possibily be from this planet..well that was reaaalyyy dirty. ISad you can't analize a single football match with some detachment (I can eve when Porto plays..that makes me a much more integral and inteligent football fan).

I also concede about one dive that was far too obvious...the one made by Vitor Baía near the end. The rest was a pretty normal game, both teams tried to take advantage when the contact was slightly above legal and that's just something common in football. Wich is different than obvious dives without contact or with completely legal contact. Something that didn't happen during most of the match. By the way Celtic has some of the best fans in the world.

I absolutely concede that Porto are a far superior side and had a fantastic match, but they broke up a lot of counter attacks with diving and feigning injury and ruined Celtic's rare shares of possession using these tactics. I still think Celtic deserved much more from the match from the level of play. Deco is a fantastic player, but has always been a dirty player as well.

Celtic knocked out 2 English teams, a Spanish team and the runners up in the Bundesliga to reach the final. This is hardly the sign of a team tactically inept. One year after the final Celtic knocked Barcelona out of Europe something that a tactically inept team cannot do.

@João Leitão Celtic play in games where tackles can break legs and nothing gets done. Celtic play in games where punches are thrown and refs turn a blind eye. Celtic are used to cheaters but when it's in a european final and not a league match, that's when its unacceptable. Celtic play far better teams than porto and win. Diving is cheating. Attempting to gain an advantage without earning one is cheating. Just that most celtic players have morals and dont cheat. We earn our trophies through playing football the way it should be played. We dont have any disputed trophies. Unlike porto..
